Here are some Christmas questions that I got in an email. Thought it would be fun to see the different opinions/traditions of chazzers. Just copy and paste with your answers. I'll go first.

German Potato Salad


7. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
I don't remember, but it crushed me. My older sister told me because she was mad at me.

8. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
We always open family gifts on Christmas Eve and saved Christmas day for Santa gifts and a big family dinner.

9. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
Lights, beaded garland and different assorted ornaments, some meaningful.

10. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11. Can you ice skate?
Used to be able to. I took lessons as a kid.

12. Do you remember your favorite gift?
I really loved my stockings every year. My Mom really knew how to stuff an awesome stocking!

Family and the magical feeling Christmas brings...

Pumpkin Pie with more whipped cream than pie.

Driving the PRI race track to look at lights and getting together with family at Grandma's house every Christmas Eve.

We used to open just one on Christmas Eve and then open the rest on Christmas day... but we're older now and don't do presents.

Very light... Christmas lights, tinsel, very few ornaments and some blue metallic like bows.

Hmm, like it? I have to drive to get to snow... so I'm not particularly fond of it nor do I just love it.

11. Can you ice skate?
I have ice skated before, yes.

Buddy!

Hmmm... as I'm older now, I'd say the reason for the season.. I'm not into gifts, really.

Grandma's pumpkin bread and Aunt Sandy's cookies.

Eating at Grandma's... we need new traditions now, though.

Nothing right now! I can't find the tree topper that I knew I bought! It was a star, though...

Erm. . .little teeth and claws find thier way into paper so "Santa" puts wrapped presents under the tree on Christmas.

Colored! Red ones o the little tree and combination of red/green lights adn green/orange/pink/red/blue on the house. (Only indoor lights.)

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No.

5. When do you put your decorations up?
Day after Thanksgiving.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish?
Ummm. . .pie? Chocolate!


7. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
WHen I was younger and my dad just told me.

8. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Yes. . .one on Christmas Eve and then the rest on Christmas day. . .my dogs have to wait until Christmas day, though.

9. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
Well we don't do real trees, and we can't have a big one with ornaments or anything dangling on the floor, so we get a little fake one and put lights specially made for it, tinsel, candy canes, a fwew red bows adn a few ornaments.

10. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
I love it! That would mean more if it actually really snowed here though.

11. Can you ice skate?
I've done it before but let's just say it's not my special talent!

12. Do you remember your favorite gift?
So many lovely ones to choose from!

Holidays for you?
Family. (Including pets, of course!)


14. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
Sooo hard to choose. .. most pies and CHOCOLATE!

15. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Watching A Christmas Story and It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve, and Rudolph when it comes on on the second or third week of December, listening to Christmas music, but most of all just being with family and friends. It's hard to say because I have a lot of different groups of family and I feel completely torn.

Just a really pretty red and gold bow.

17. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving?
Giving of course.

Many. Can't name just one!

Yummy as long as they're not the classic peppermint kind, sadly.

Decorating the house inside and out...and getting to gather with family the day after Christmas and having TONS of food and good times! And having my dogs with me!!

I was five and I figured it out on my own and demanded that mom tell me if Santa was real or not she finally said she'd tell me the truth but I had to promise not to tell my little brother

our family used to do this, but it's been a few years

I like blue and purple lights, tinsel, and glass ornaments...but I haven't decorated one in a while

Love it!! except when I have to drive

never have tried it, I would love to learn

A really beautiful white, ceramic unicorn that I managed to break part of the foot off the first day I had it and was sad about it forever!

getting to see family and have a break from work!!

Going out driving at night to look at christmas lights, I still do this and my mom and dad would take me on car trips to look at christmas lights since I was a little kid!

All of the extended family getting together. Weather we travel to theirs, they come down and spend it here or we all travel together somewhere different. Just so much fun, even if the family is full of loonys (Christmas really brings it out of them!)

Ah, man, that was harsh. When I was cleaning my room when I was about 8, I found the receipts for some of the things Santa gave me. They were in a plastic baggie that mom gave me to put my trash in.

Well, when we actually get a tree worth decorating, it'll have lightsand ornaments that we've collected over the years.

Forever ago....not really a skill you pick up growing up in So Cal.

Right now it's my iPod. That thing is the gift that keeps on giving.

I love the feeling around Christmas time. Everyone is always so happy. And I love being able to go home.

Going down to Balboa Island on Christmas Eve to ride the ferry and look at the lights on the rich people houses. They have a contest every year, and some houses are just amazing.

He wasn't really a surprise because I knew about him, but Ripley.

A star, and right below it is a dove in memory of a friend of ours that was killed in a car crash, since his birthday was on Dec. 25th

I love both, though I do get more satisfaction from giving.

Yummy, but not the little tiny, cheap ones. Those break too easily. They need to be a big peppermint stick, and after this christmas I think I'm sticking to handmade ones because they are SO much better!
