One more thing...if you use a heat rock, be sure to keep it covered. Ball Pythons are easily burned by them.

Very nice. Love the coloration. What size setup do you have him in?
Right now he is in a 20 gallon glass tank. We are going to order a custom tank/stand in the next few months. It is a real snake tank, as it opens from the front and has other cool features.

This is a picture of Sammy. He is very grouchy and turned down his food today because he is about to shed.

Beautiful

My brother had a King Snake and then when he moved out and gave him to me. His name was Scout :) (this was a long time ago) . I would not mind owning one again someday.

I must admit that Sammy has grown on me. I was scared to death of him in the beginning, but now we have Mommy/Sammy bonding time. When we watch him for the friend (about 8 months we had him) he was really mean and would always musk. He is very calm and doesn't mind being held now.

I know I'm strange but I love to watch him eat. I think it's amazing how they eat something like that and their body does ALL the work of chewing it, breaking it down, etc.

Ive been researching snakes since I saw this and realized I forgot to post up.

Very nice looking snake, realy cool coloration that I can see.

With everything I ve seen today Im not sure if I want a python or a boa. Once I move into the big bedroom I figure it out since I probably wont get back into stingrays now.

Id go for the python. Generally smaller than the boas and I think easier to accomodate. Look up rainbow boas. They have a flourescent sheen to them and they look really cool.

Im thinking python because the more common varieties look better for a begginner like me, unlike the Rainbow Boas.

A tree boa or python would be cool as well.
