Definitely post to lost dogs, CL, and call all the shelters or even bring fliers to the shelter. When I found that chihuahua mix last year it was through the lost pets shelter page that they matched us.

I know my area has all of the lost dog pages on Facebook and those people are really on it. Post on surrounding counties pages to and I am sure others have said actually go to the shelter because they can have a dog listed as god knows what and tell you it's not there if you just call.

And newspaper adds are still a thing!! Some people do not do the internet still as shocking as it is. Mostly older people but they take in dogs to.

Thinking of you and sending all kinds of good thoughts.

I've posted to FB Lost dogs of GA, there isn't a local page, there's another lost dogs website I posted to. I put up more flyers today, and a neighbor called and said he'd seen him yesterday around noon near his work which isn't far from my house, but it's across the train tracks and a four lane road. :/

He said he looked like was headed down the road towards where we used to live, so I've told my ex and he's looking for him on that side and I'm driving around over here.

He's also been crossposted on a few FB pages of a friend.

Grace, I made a public post about it. Anyone that's friends on FB and might have people south of Atlanta, please feel free to share.

So far, I think he's still running at large, but I think he's scared out of his mind now and is going to either hunker down somewhere, or keep running. :(

Have you contacted your local police and given them a description/photo/flyer?

Last year a member of our basenji club lost one of her dogs in the Chicago area and it was the police men in the area that ended up finding her pup and helped to get her home :)

I am keeping my fingers crossed that he is found and back home quickly.

One of the other resources I have seen used, and wouldn't have normally considered, is to get fliers to any delivery, mail, Fed Ex employees etc. they are on the roads all all day. If they know not to chase but to call you with any sightings, they could be very helpful.

Ugh, you guys are still in my thoughts. I shared him on my facebook page - I'm way too far south, but a friend of mine is from GA and hoping she may have more contacts.

I did give a flyer to both the police station and the two fire stations. The police that were on duty last night said if they saw him they'd call, and if they could catch him they'd just bring him home (all the police know my moms house lol)

And of course another Chazzer posted a video about Coyotes and so now I'm freaking out slightly about him running into one of those. :( At least in the city they don't pack up together.

NEVER have I SO wanted to have a strange number pop up on my phone. :(

I'm going to go to the UPS store and have postcard sized flyer things made up and take them to the post office and ask if they can be delivered with the mail for a fee. (hopefully a small one)

Also, I'm not sure if the UPS is open on Sunday, but this would be Monday before that happens.

We're going to hit all the shelters tomorrow within a twenty to thirty five mile radius, and he has a very distinctive scar I can ask people over the phone for to check for. I already got one call from someone who'd seen his poster on Facebook. Now I just need the RIGHT call. :/

I can't remember if I said this or not, but Staffinois gave me a link to the Pet Detective, and he's not far from me (maybe three hours? In Augusta?) And I'm seriously considering calling him out if I can talk my dad into helping me pay for his fees.

Definitely post on any local FB pages that are available. Our local pet page is always flooded with posts of lost and found dogs.

Can't really add to any of the ideas except I've read to figure on at least a 5 mile radius as the search area.
Sending tons of vibes! Come home safe, Harrison!!

I keep checking this thread, hoping the next update will be a "we found him!"

I am sending my prayers!
