So I remember a while back I had mentioned that I do hair extensions and I would post pics...
So here are a few. There are double ended dreads, about 60 in total on her head, and it being "double ended" there are 120 different lengths of dread.
Shows the length

Here they are "styled" hahah

This is what the top looks like

More coming....

This girl had a mohawk, so I could only put about 30 dread on her, but I think it looks great, except she refused to dye her hair to match the dreads so you can see where they attach

Here are a set of thicker braids (what the client wanted) after being worn for about a month, so they are starting to get a little ratty. I generally do many more of them and much skinnier..

And finally...I also do hair pieces that can be worn for a day, or a night out.
This is a dread fall...it's dreads attached to an elastic and then put around a ponytail....that's me wearing it btw..a few years ago.

How long does it take to do something like that?

I had a guy tell me the other day I should try dreds... Not quite my style.

The dreads take about 5 hours.
The braids usually take about 10-12 hours depending on how many and thin they want them.
The thing with dread extensions are, you just attach them to your hair, you don't actually have to dread your own, so when you take them out you have your regular hair back.
But i have had clients who had the extensions and loved them so much they dreaded their real hair!

Hmmm not sure if you go to a salon, I just taught myself. So I usually charge about 80 bucks (CDN) to make the dreads, and another 15 bucks an hour to install them.

The first girl with the dreads looks gorgeous, especially styled.

You do an awesome job!

I just don't think their my style exactly, I love the look of them though! I think it's something you have to have the face for like short hair or hats, yano.

Thanks rottigirl, yeah I much prefer it when they let me dye it to match first, makes it look so much more professional.
The girl with the black dreads has hair that is about 6 inches long, so she always let me dye it to match the dreads.

Yikes, I cannot master the cornrow....until you mentioned you do them, I was convinced they were done by robots.
