Nope not a Puerto Rican Mastiff, but good guess!!

HINT: This breed was developed by crossing together "domesticated" wolves, Tornjaks, Rottweillers, Neos, AmStaffs and APBT.

New hint: The breed was developed in a small country in Eastern Europe. I would name the country but then that would make it too easy to figure out. The breed was developed to be a guardian although it quickly became a gladiator in the ring, easily defeating the typical "champion" breeds including the APBT and EBT.

Nope, but good guess!

This breed is typically more of a property and personal guardian rather than a livestock guardian ;) The final standard for this breed was written in 1991 as it is a re-creation of a much older mastiff that unfortunately died out during the early 20'th century.

Portuguese Podengo!

Looks like a grande? Possibly a medio....

Not fair, but that's one of my favorite breeds.

I can't give country of origin, as I'm sure OC knows why. ;)

A hint? It's got quite a few names. They are not recognized by the AKC obviously but were recognized by the FCI in 2005, I believe.

I always thought they were an odd looking breed.
