Ok, I'm stumped. I had fake nails put on at the end of July for my shower. I had pink and white powder with a gel coat on top. Due to my busy schedule, by the time I got back to the salon, she couldn't back fill them because then there would be no white. So, she ripped (yes ripped) the fake nails off, re-dremeled my real nails, put new glue and fake nails on. She did the pink powder, a gel coat in white on the tip and a clear gel coat on all.
Well, the wedding and honeymoon are over and I spent several days delicately taking them off (soaking in a gel removal solution, filing, trimming etc, until one by one they worked free. I know this probably wasn't good, but I would rather have done it myself, in a non-painful way then go back and have her rip them off.
Now my nails are awful. I've got hangnails on at least 4 nails, they are thinner than thin (so thin that the edges are slightly curled upwards). Running my hands under warm or cold water is so intense. Sometimes it feels like my nailbeds are being burned (warm water).
Anyone know of a nail product I can buy to help strengthen or thicken while they grow out?
