It's just one of those facts of life that, when it happens to your dog (especially in front of other people), is either one of those funny/slightly embarrasing moments or is a lesson in mortification. You just might as well laugh and see the humor in it. Let's face it, our dogs absolutely REVEL in their ability to be the source of our occasional humiliation.
