I'd like one pleeasseee!!!

I haven;t remembered my dreams in A LONG time, and last night, mine was just kinda crazy. Y'all know about some of the stuff going on in my life...but there is something else kinda major too. If it would help the interpretation, I'll post about it.

Anyways, so yesterday I was talking about missing Ann Arbor, so I'm guessing thats where that came from:

So I am back in AA, but ::everything:: is different. There is constructions EVERYWHERE of super tall buildings...they are all actively being built, but they all looked super ghostly. There like wasn't a non-dusty place b/c of all the construction.

I remember I was meeting with someone inside a building, and I walked out...and couldn't figure out which way to get back home, cause everything looked so different. I remember being so p*ssed about it, cause it was a town I had known so well...and they changed everything on me.

So as I'm trying to figure out which way to go...I hear this HUGE snap...and this building just starts going down...very similar to the way the twin towers did. I remember I kept thinking about that in my dream (cept no one was attributing it to terrorism or anything...just a shotty construction job). We were all running & running...then someone picked me up & was running with me, but it just felt slower. SO I made them put me down & I ran myself. Nothing really happened after that. I ended up finding my family, who seemed totally obviously that I had narrowly escaped just a dangerous thing, even though I was trying to tell them what had happened.

...

the end!

Dreams don't mean anything. They are just your brain farting up excess thoughts and worries.

That's nice. Its been proven :)
Links or titles of unbiased studies please :)

I find dreams fastening, and though yes I say some have no meanings, I also believe some do. IMO though, everyone has different interpretations. What one might mean for you, can be completely different than someone else's theory.

Ok, let's see... a short search in dreammoods.com says that to dream that a building collapses indicates that you are losing sight of your ambitions and goals.

To dream that you are running away from someone, indicates an issue that you are trying to avoid. You are not taking or accepting responsibility for your actions. In particular, if you are running from an attacker or any danger, then it suggests that you are not facing and confronting your fears.

What do you think, does that sound accurate at all?

I don't think that dreams mean nothing, and I don't believe that's ever been proven, either. Of course they correlate to things you're thinking about...I don't buy that dreaming about frogs means you're going to come into money or dreaming about your mother means you're feeling controlled, or any of that BS that comes with "Dream Analysis" textbooks.

Parts of it are important (like how much you're thinking about Ann Arbor) and parts of it may or may not be important (like the buildings collapsing may be symbolic, or maybe you walked past a sketchy construction zone or read a news bit about the Twin Towers recently).

Dreeza, I think if you think about it, you KNOW what that dream meant. No body else can really tell you what your dreams mean.

I don't believe they can be 'interpreted'. I think they give clues as to your emotional state at that time. Stressed, happy, etc. That's it. Although I have dreamt of a scenario that actually occurred, exactly how I dreamt it (it was about canoes, bit odd).
