Okay, seriously. I want this. WANT IT.
I love the eyes, I didn't even know there was something as follow-me eyes... I am going to have to find some of those! (Or did you make them yourself? Either way, hook me up! LOL)
And as cool as the rest of it is, you had me sold at "shoulder puppet". I love puppets. LOVE!

Thanks! I'm not sure if it's legal for me to make Toothless. There might be some copyright/trademark laws around that. There's tons of people on Etsy that make stuff with trademarked characters and I'm not sure if they get away with it because it's okay, or if it's because people just don't bother to go after them. I still haven't been able to find the answer to it but if anyone knows a copyright attorney who knows it'd be awesome.
I'll definitely post pics of his progress. I've got a couple more. One head is about the same stage. The others I'm waiting on more eyeball supplies.
The eyes are hand made. It's an optical illusion so there aren't any moving parts. It took a long time to figure out the best materials/glues/resins/etc. for making them so they don't cloud over time or get air bubbles. I'm trying to build them out of archival quality stuff so that they'll last for decades and be really durable. The prototype has been kicked around by the kids for months now and is still in good working condition, lol.

I know some miniaturists who got sued by the NFL for making tiny football pennants for doll houses and selling them because they used real life teams. 
Being a small business person, I just can't afford to take the risk. Maybe once I'm established I can look into getting permission/licensed for it but for now I don't know.
There are some character dragons I'd like to try and get permission for, especially for charity. I want to do some charity dragons like Ella's Lead does with their collars. Specifically do an Errol from Guards! Guards! (Terry Pratchett) and give part of the proceeds to Alzheimer's research, since dear Mr. Pratchett was afflicted with early onset.
