Dog breeds you would never own

We have all specified what dog breeds we love and why. But, do you have a specific breed, or breeds you would never consider owning, and why?

Peke, Chi, Komondor, Bulldog, Puli, Old English Sheepdog, Bouvier de Flandre,

Peke and Bulldog- No, because I need a dog that is healthy, active, and agile.

Chi- I've met several and gotten to interact with this breed. I don't like their temperment. I like my dogs brave, outgoing, and hardy.

Komondor, Pulie, OES, Bouv- No, too much grooming/I don't like the way they are groomed.

i have always met chis tht are brave and outgoing and this is the overall opinion i have always had of the breed, although u may hav got the hardy right.

I'm not a fan of toy breeds...Don't care for poodles too much...Don't like pugs (I guess that's considered a toy, huh?)...

Miniature Pinscher. Too hyper and barky for me. Also, no Westies. Too easily distracted and barky.

Newfie-way too much drool and hair. Although I adore their looks and temperament.

Toy breeds-too "breakable" for my taste.

Chows-Hubby's been bitten three times by dogs, and all three were chows. Now he won't even consider getting one.

Afghan hounds and basenjis-I like breeds that can do obedience. I understand that neither of these breeds are really "trainable".

Any poodle, most hounds (but their are some I like!), some terriers (but I do like a lot of them) and I don't think I would own any toy breeds (Not that I don't like them because most are adorable, they are just too small for me).

I like herding and working breeds the best.

I like toy breeds, but I dont think I personally would want to own one.

I also rather not have a wire-hair breed.

For me - anything that is human aggressive (even a gram of human aggression), or requires a lot of grooming. I don't have the stamina for a lot of working/herding breeds. I think I will stick to Mojo... and think abotu getting a greyhound next.

for me that would be a large list...
not because there not all wonderfull dogs, just because theres something about them thats just not for me...i dont like labs cause they shed too much for me, i dont like pugs because of their breathign problems...ect...

I think there are A LOT more breeds I'd put on the "never own" list.. but I honestly have not met every breed, and if someday I came across a "never own" breed in a shelter, it had a wonderful temperment, was energetic and playful, I'd probably sweep it right up and take it home...
