I was looking through a local online classifieds site the other day for nothing in piticular and came upon an ad which read....
" Hi, Im looking to trade my adorable husky for a good reptile, contact me if intrested".
I think it's disgusting, how could someone so carelessly "trade" their dog for a "good" reptile, what does that even encompass? I know many worse fates befall dogs every day but still it's just so cold and I feel so much for his poor pup and what hands he might fall into is.
I don't know If I should have but I contacted the owner as I used to breed reptiles to see what species he's looking at, if he can actually care for them etc. If it turns out I have a species he's looking for and he can care for it, I am considering taking him. I am in contact with a rescue group that may be willing to take him and foster/ adopt him out. What do you guys think, am I just over reacting?
I would love to keep him myself especially as I adore this breed but it would be too irresponsible as me as I really cant finicially take care of more then one dog right now that Im doing school/apprenticeship and not making much money.
Thanks
Kayla
