Officially, the worst moment in pet ownership EVER is when you wake up in the middle of the night to the aroma of poop. You crawl out of bed to go find said poop, and see that it is SPRAYED UP THE WALLS of your bathroom :yikes:

This is the lovely mess I woke up to a couple of nights ago. Thankfully Rory decided to do the majority of it on the chihuahuas' pee pad. However, he decided to explode in the bathroom and it could've brought a grown man to tears.

The worst part was that he tried to warn us by whining/barking, and I thought he was just being annoying :(

Does it make me a horrible person that I LOLed at this? :p
Poor Rory, he TRIED to tell you, he really did! That was always my biggest worry, that I would tell him to STFU and then wake up to crap everywhere.

I am not jealous of the one who had to pick up that pee pad...

:rofl1: :rofl1:

Ian had to deal with the pee pad while I cleaned the bathroom. It was horrible. I just wanted to cry... and I felt so guilty for sleeping through Rory's whining!

One time Bruno did that. When he was a pup I used to crate him every night, take him out first thing in the morning, then feed him and go shower. Well, one time I was in a rush, so I skipped first thing potty break and fed him then took a shower. I even showered quick because I was late. In the 10 minutes it took for me to shower and get dressed he literally crapped in every room in the house. Bedroom, living room, kitchen, spare bedroom, on the stairs. You name it, he pooped there......

Now that I look back on it, it was actually rather remarkable how dirty he could make the house in a span of 5 minutes. Also, that that much poop could come out of him! It was almost like it was his first diarrhea and he was scared because it felt weird or something and just started running around as he sprayed lol. To top it all off, he must have zig-zaged back and forth through it because there were little crap paw prints everywhere.

Im sure every dog owner on the planet has at least one story like this.

I laughed very, very hard.

Sam's woken me up in the middle of the night/ early morning due to diarrhea. I am so glad that I dragged myself out of be, heh.

I have never had dog do that.. But when I first started dating my fiance, I woke up one morning and his cat had sprayed crap all over his brand new couch (he had only picked it up the day before!), lounge room floor, dining table and chairs and all over the laundry..

and it was all over her aswell! She was a long haired cat, so i'm sure you can imagine how horrible it was!

I was completely horrifed!

He yelled at her and put her in her cat run at the end of the backyard, so i went and cleaned her up and sat with her while he cleaned the house.

Before she would completely ignore me.. but we had a special bond after that experience.. lol

I laughed so hysterically, and then felt super bad for you. Wow, I have to admit, I have never had such bad poop duty before. But I went on camp a few months ago, and Leo had some issues, pooped in my parent's carpeted room... Yeaaaah, glad I wasn't there.

ETA: Parent's also ignored Leo's whining because he is a whiney dog. Well, they got rewarded greatly for that :rofl1:

Urk, Bodhi's trick is to do it when people are out, but to actually walk around the ENTIRE house (up and down stairs) leaking crap everywhere.

Except my room, she has never, ever done it in my room ;)

That's so horrible! It's amazing how much poop they can let loose.

Yuck! My grandmother's old cat peed on my trapper keeper when I was a kid... cat bodily fluids are the WORST... especially poop :(

Rory is a pretty vocal dog and likes to hear himself bark/whine, so we ignore a good bit of it as well. I will never, ever ignore a middle of the night whine fest ever again. I learned my lesson!

You have to wonder what they're thinking... "hmmm, let me leave my people some presents!"

At least they're cute, right? :p

Oh God I would have died!

I always give in to Juno's middle of the night whining, because I'm afraid if I don't, this will happen!

Ugh, middle of the night diarrhea is the worst!

One night Jack started whining and I told him to cut it out and lay down, a few moments later I heard the explosion happen  I stayed in bed for a long time hoping it was a dream or would magically clean itself up..until the smell hit me, that got me up pretty fast. The best part the mess was mostly contained in a giant plastic bowl that was on the floor. I was THRILLED, my mom was upset that she could no longer use her bowl.

Oh poor Rory.

The kittens got something at the adoption events last weekend and have been having diarrhea this week. Ugh. Take Rory's issue and multiply it by four. For 4 days. :(

The only room in my house that's carpeted is my bedroom. Everything else is tiled. So if someone makes a social error, they make sure to do it on the carpet. So as not to mess up the tile, doncha know.
