First let me say I always feel weird posting here after I've posted on facebook. I think that's why many of us don't post here since we have many chazzers on our FB......it seems so redundant. So any of you who've already seen these, I'm sorry for the repitition!

Secondly, I apologize for the quality of PHONE PICS! LOL

When we first adopted Crowley, he was (approx) 7.5 weeks old and weighed 5lbs. He is now (we'll just say) 12 weeks and 10lbs.

First week home:

Few weeks ago:

First time Orson felt comfortable enough to lay down and go to sleep (real sleep) with the baby in the same room:

I want to take this moment and say how very PROUD I am of Orson. I kind of felt he would tolerate a "family member" though he doesn't care for other dogs at all....but he has truly exceeded my expectations. He has come so far so fast! He not only accepts, he seems to LOVE his baby brother! I'm sure part of it has been him missing this interaction with Phoebe, he seems happier lately and that makes me feel wonderful about the decision to bring Crowley into our family!

Crowley currently:

One thing though, Orson is NOT one of those dogs who understands being gentle with smaller/younger dogs. If anyone has advice how to help this, and/or has big dogs/small dogs who play together please lay it on me!

I don't mind seeing repeat pictures of that adorable face. <3 I'm glad Orson is enjoying him - I think Tipper would be a lot happier if she had a playmate but now is definitely not the time. Lol.

Well, as someone who despises Facebook and only pops in every once in a while, I appreciate you posting here! :D

Oh my gosh, he's so freaking cute! :D

I've had big dogs and little dogs at the same time, but my big dogs have just been good with little dogs without too many issues. I'd just encourage gentle play and end all playtime when Orson gets too rough. That's all I got. Lol

Now see there are ones here I missed on facebook, besides I like seeing them all together. Looks like baby steps are turning out just fine. :)

He is adorable and I'm so glad Orson is liking him. I wish I could help on the be gentle thing. Ivan understands what it means but he can't follow through because well Phoebe plays dirty. LOL When they do get going to much though, I give them a time out. Which means me holding her until she settles down. Because she just keeps going at him and he looks at me like I'M.TRYING.TO.STOP.

So glad all is working out so well.

When my dogs were pups, I used to buy this long soft toy that looked like a snake. It was maybe 2' long and the adult & puppy would play tug with it.

Thanks ladies :) I do forget that some of you aren't on Facebook, LOL

Nolu, I hope you are right about the gentleness. Orson stepped on Crowley's foot today. Crowley let out a howl of pain and I swear I thought Orson was going to turn white....he seemed to feel bad and was concerned about his bro.

Northern winters are not the optimal time to have a puppy.....not much to do, not many interesting photo opts unless you are creative...which I'm not really, LOL

Awwwwww :D

I'm not big on adding people I've not met to Facebook or aren't likely to meet so I don't see the pics!! Possibly why I use Chaz more :)

Awwww, that's awesome, you must be thrilled. They're both adorable! I agree, so long as Orson seems responsive when Crowley yelps or tells him off he'll learn what ways the little one likes to play and what ways he doesn't.
