First let me say I always feel weird posting here after I've posted on facebook. I think that's why many of us don't post here since we have many chazzers on our FB......it seems so redundant. So any of you who've already seen these, I'm sorry for the repitition!
Secondly, I apologize for the quality of PHONE PICS! LOL
When we first adopted Crowley, he was (approx) 7.5 weeks old and weighed 5lbs. He is now (we'll just say) 12 weeks and 10lbs.
First week home:
Few weeks ago:
First time Orson felt comfortable enough to lay down and go to sleep (real sleep) with the baby in the same room:
I want to take this moment and say how very PROUD I am of Orson. I kind of felt he would tolerate a "family member" though he doesn't care for other dogs at all....but he has truly exceeded my expectations. He has come so far so fast! He not only accepts, he seems to LOVE his baby brother! I'm sure part of it has been him missing this interaction with Phoebe, he seems happier lately and that makes me feel wonderful about the decision to bring Crowley into our family!
Crowley currently:
One thing though, Orson is NOT one of those dogs who understands being gentle with smaller/younger dogs. If anyone has advice how to help this, and/or has big dogs/small dogs who play together please lay it on me!
