Ok, I miscarried at the end of June. I got pregnant again recently before ever having a period in between. I learned this when I was hospitalized on the 1st. My HCG that day was 44 and only 40 on the 2nd or 3rd. That meant another m/c was going to happen, since HCG should double roughly ever 48 hours and never decrease. I was told I was miscarrying, but since then I have had increasingly darker urine pregnancy tests. I went in for blood work this week on Monday and Wednesday. I just got the results. It was 840 on Monday and 2000 something on Wednesday. These are NORMAL doubling times. I did not miscarry. I had more bloodwork today and have to get it again on Monday. If it's still going up, I get an ultrasound next week.

I am thrilled but terrified. I could still miscarry and I'm so nervous.

Wow!! So happy for you!! ***fingers crossed***

I also thought that I had miscarried once. Much bleeding, and the hospital told me I had lost the baby. Well, he's five now, and sitting on my lap. :)

wow... what a roller coaster.

well I definitely have my fingers crossed, prayers and good vibes sent... etc etc.

I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry yourself too much. Sit down and put your feet up and relax and rest for a while.

As for all the blood tests and needles... this is only the beginning... by the end you will feel like a pin cushion :p haha ok it's not THAT bad but still a lot of tests.

Good luck (((HUGS)))

Keeping my fingers crossed! :)

Did they put you on Progesterone? I've had to be on it with both pregnancies in order to keep from miscarrying again.

And I was pregnant within 6 weeks after my miscarriage. I wasn't sick with the 1st pregnancy (the one I miscarried with), but not long after I was extremely ill and was wondering if something had gone wrong. I went in to have everything checked out and was told I was pregnant! :yikes:

No, my doctor sucks and I was just rushed in for a blood draw over lunch. I WANT to be on progesterone, though, because it was only at 9.5 in the hospital, which is way too low. My doctor insists one number means nothing and I don't need it, but I don't agree. I'm going to ask again on Monday and hope it's not too late at that point :(

I wasn't sick at all last time either and my HPTs weren't as dark. I have been sick lately, but I was sick anyway so I didn't realize it could also be from being pregnant.

Thanks, everyone, for the well-wishes.

I learned that being sick was a good thing. :)

And my level stayed below 10 until I was almost 20 weeks along this past go-round. My doctor was extremely worried, I had to go in for weekly visits and blood draws, was on bed rest, took oral progesterone and got progesterone shots every Monday and Thursday up at the office.

After my first pregnancy, when trying to get pregnant again, it was discovered that my progesterone level is about nil. I still take a monthly dose of it to encourage menustration.

Maybe it's not too late for me to start taking it next week then. It's not harmful, so she should be willing to prescribe it if I really insist. It would just make me feel better. As you know, after one miscarriage, everything is a constant worry.

Thanks, guys. I'm just in a state of shock because I've never heard of this happening before. The only possible explanations I can think of are lab error on the second number or a "vanishing twin" very early on. I'm just hoping that this works out

I'm slightly confused .... is this your first pregnancy that didn't abort ?? You said that you didn't have a period in 2 months . I wonder if the Dr. should do an ultra sound for size . Maybe you did abort a twin . Interesting !
