Yep! Hopefully within the year. I need a Payton-buddy before Auggie gets too much older. He really needs somebody his speed to play with all the time, and I think Auggie will be happy to retire. So I've got some good leads and I think one of them will probably pan out with just what I'm looking for!
Not right now at least - his co-owner might actually be getting out of breeding so I will be left without my mentor to help me if that happens. Not to say it will never happen because I still hope it will, and I know many more who will help me if that is the case - but I really want to add within the next year so cannot wait on a shaky/non-existent timeline and only start looking when it might be too late.
My original plan with Payton was to breed him once, observe what he produced, then breed again with that information and keep one from the second or third round, so if suddenly his co-owner wants to breed him I can always go back to that plan. I still have quite a few people who are interested in Payton puppies, just no bitches to breed him to to get those puppies.
Already paid in full, with shipping, for a pup that is a half-sib to this handsome boy. No idea if I'll be getting male or female, leaving it all up to the breeder. Fingers crossed...

You are a crazy person! :lol-sign: New baby and new puppy! And of course I can't wait to see all of the adorable fluffy baby pictures. I hoping for a girl - you guys have enough boy puppies and I love female GSDs.
In other puppy news, a good friend of mine has decided to get a Welshie puppy! She's been thinking about a dog for a while and I think Hazel pushed her over the edge.
Right now there are two options. One breeder has a litter due next week. Sire is Watson's uncle. Dam has had a couple nice litters already (I think one with the same father). The breeder has been in the breed for decades and knows her stuff.
Option two is Watson and Hazel's breeder. She is planning to breed Watson's sister for the first time in a month or two. I'd love if my friend got a puppy from this litter (and the breeder would be thrilled to send one home with her), but it's Tessa's first litter and it's an AI, so I'm worried she won't get pregnant and then there will be no puppies unless she wants to wait. I feel bad about putting the other breeder over the one I have a great relationship with, but Welshies don't grow on trees and I think my friend should snap up a good puppy when it comes along. Nobody else I know is breeding this year, so she would either have to fly a puppy (which I don't think she's interested in) or she would probably look more into other breeds or rescue.
I hope it works out! I'll make sure to post lots of pics of the Welshie clan if she gets a pup.

The baby is a myth. Baby is refusing to make an appearance. I am just fat, in a tumor-like way directly on my belly. Stubborn child, just like his/her dad (my parents both laughed when I said that....). Well, I'm hoping new pup will get me out and back to training asap after baby comes. I'm going to need the motivation. Kas and Eden are mostly retired and Limit is maintaining so I need a more serious kick in the butt to get going. I do plan on getting started back with Kas tracking though...
