CGN age requirement?

They would have let my dog take the test at 6 months but she likely would have failed. I think a slightly older dog is more predictable with some of the distractions.
I'm sure at a year & half she would easily have passed ALL the tests.
Do you have a copy of the requirements? Do you feel you are ready? Then GO FOR IT. Nothing ventured - nothing gained.

I do have a copy of the requirements, and I want to work on the sit/stay out of sight for a bit first. He's a baby, and get's nervous and scared when I leave.
He just turned a year, but works weekly with distractions at school, and his dog/human leave it, is more than solid. Everytime he shows avoidance to the subject.
The grooming, examine part, no problem.
Heeling through the crowd no problem.
The only one I feel is stopping us from getting it, is the sit stay for three minutes. But it's something that we're going to start working on more intensely in the next set of lessons.

Yuppers 6 months of age is the min age requirement, just like any other CKC events.
I have met some VERY respectable 6 month olds though. I would have put Riot through at 6 months. Its just a matter of having Manners with other dogs and people. Riot was great with the other dogs part, but not great with strangers. So we worked on it very hard and his results paid off and now carries a CGN title to his name
