OK so I have a Question :D

SOOO last week a friend and I started thinking about going to the UK this summer which sounds really exciting and I reaaallly want to do it ^^ But I also really want to go to the states this summer. I thought it would cost WAY to much to go to the states 'cause last time I flew it cost about 900 Euro there and back again with Lufthansa. And now I just checked out British Airways to see how much it would cost to go to London (147 Euro) and just for fun I checked how much a flight on June 21st & July 17th would cost.... 'only' 530 Euro! :yikes: Thats 370 Euro less than Lufthansa... of course I would have have to change planes in London, but thats not that bad!

Has anyone flown with British Airways before? And if yes, were they any good? :)

Yes, I've flown British Airways many times and they are great. Although the last time I did they has some aweful clashing, totally hideous coloured seats and uniforms for the stewardesses. LOL But the fight and service online was wonderful, just bring sunglasses to minimize the glare of the funky colours. HAHAHA

I absolutely *hate* Lufthansa. They are so rude and IMO you have less space than with British Airways or United. I'd go for it :)

Another option to consider for UK to US is Virgin Atlantic. I flew them roundtrip from LA to Heathrow and they were marvelous! They can also be cheaper sometimes than BA or the others.

I also second Dizzy's suggestion of Ryanair or Easyjet. Be careful how much luggage you bring though. They will charge an arm and a leg in overage fees if you're not careful (learned that the hard way this summer).

Thanks for the suggestion Dizzy! :) I'll have to check them out! I like BQ though 'cause they don't over charge a oneway ticket because my friends and I are flying into London and flying out of Dublin.

hehe and I'll bring the sunglasses ;)

My grandad was a pilot for British Airways, so yeah have travelled with them many times! ;) They're great.

Have you ever thought about the Euro star instead? If you could get to Brussels you could get on the train, they have some great summer deals.. Plus it would be even more of an adventure! ;)

We actually checked out Eurostar and they have some kind of a connection to Frankfurt :D But it ends up costing pretty much the same. ^^
