Any tips on dealing with it? I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant, but the MS just hit me like three days ago. Ever since then, I can't look at or even smell food without wanting to gag. Any remedies???
The only thing that helped my morning sickness was grapefruit. I lived off that stuff for a while until I cold stomach other foods. Some plain toast worked too.
I hear Raspberry tea is a good one as well. Can't say much more as I've never had to go through MS and my mom was lucky enough to not really have it with any of us three.
Gingerale helped me a little. You should be done with in a short time. It's usally gone by 12 weeks for most people. I just remember being repulsed by the smell of my shampoo LOL!
Trust me, it's SO worth it in the end. I never knew I could love something as much as I love my daughter...
My morning sickness was mostly just the biggest upset stomach that I could ever have. I never actually threw up. I just always felt like I had to but I never did.
My sister had horrible morning sickness w/ her first pregnancy, ended up in the hospital because she was dehydrated so they finally gave her Zofran, and that helped her.
This pregnancy, she's had her moments where she hasn't felt too well but nothing compared to last time...but that's probably because she's been taking Zofran from the beginning.

I was just queasy with my #1 ( son ) , but urped my guts with #2 ( girl ) ... #3 was fine ... guess I was too busy to think about it ! Showpug , my downfall was ivory dishwashing soap !! Didn't have a dishwasher.... haven;t bought it since !!
Try not to let yourself get reeeally empty that's when it seems to hit the worst- at least for me. Have lots of little snacks instead of regular meals. I also found that I needed to get a little solid food settled before I could have any liquids. It's very important that your spouse take over all cooking and other kitchen duties, probably the cleaning too-- you know how gross cleaners smell!
Here, try some popcorn opcorn:
When I was pregnant my doctor said that cat urine is NOT something that is good to breathe when your pregnant. I had my hubby clean the cat box for me.
If you have cats you probably already know that though.
Well with Emily I found that if I kept some cereal or some crackers next to the bed I could nibble on those in the morning and would be fine.
With KENNY, however, nothing helped! I was sick ALL day no matter what. My favorite place to be while being pregnant with Kenny was right next to the toilet.
these are some foods and herbs that are supposed to help...im only 20 and not pregnant, so i have no personal experience. A lot of these just reiterate what other people said. And as for gingerale...make sure you get the REAL stuff (that actually HAS ginger...it is soooooo good)
I gave my friend, Angie, some candied ginger when she was having horrible morning sickness with her little girl and she said it helped more than anything else had.
