I woke up 'bout 10 min. ago to my dog sort of running across the room...(Ruby)
I was half asleep too but it looked to me like she was having a stroke or something, she was sort of running but falling into her right side...?????
She ended up toppling over and she rolled and then I thought she was having a seizure....Her eyes were closed (I think...I was half asleep and in a rising panic...) and she looked like she was choking??.....I knelt down and she did start choking, then she rolled over and looked at me practically right away, I pulled her up to see if she could stand and yep......She was absolutely normal.....I'm making her a vet appointment for today or tomorrow if I cannot do today ---- In the meantime does anyone have any clue what happened here??????
I'm still trembly....But she seems absolutely perfectly fine now....
She's a 9 yr old boxer, only known health problem is her low thyroid, which she has had for about 4 yrs....
:( Anyone have any ideas?
I am not sure how serious this is....Its 2am atm...It looked serious at the time but she is just curled up sleeping now....Agh....Anyways...Any tips/advice/opinions? would be appreciated until the vet opens up in the morning.....Think I am too afraid to go back to sleep.
Thanks in advance...

Sounds neurological. I hope you get some answers quickly. Dharma is my 6 year old Boxer and she started having seizures this year for no reason I can find. She has only had 2 so I just have to keep an eye on her. Good luck and let us know.

Well she's at the vet right now....The vet checked her heart and said she has an irregular beat.....She said it could be that the way her heart is beating didn't give enough oxygen to her brain which caused...her episode...I don't remember what the vet called it, something other than a seizure since it's heart related. They're doing tests on her atm and I'm picking her up in 3 and a half hours x_X

Thanks guys... :)
Ruby's home for the weekend, apparently her atrias? Are not contracting at all....In my simple terms there's a lub but no dub...She showed me Ruby's ekg in comparison to a normal ekg and I could definetley see the difference...She told me this is a bit "out of their department" so Ruby's x-rays/ultrasound/EKG were sent off to cardio-experts (Gosh sorry for my elementary vocab today my mind is not with me atm :p ) Anyways she said they will get back to us by Monday or Tuesday stating their opinion on treatments....If any...
*sigh* In any case Ruby's glad to be home.

I am sorry to hear about Ruby. I hope you find good news from the cardiologist. There are a lot of good medications out there. I hope they can help her along for a while. Heart problems are something I worry about with my boxer too.
