He was only in there while I set up their tank, because he had been in a bag for 6 hours on our way back from the city. Once their tank was set up they were removed, as was the gourami, and now he is in a 45gal tank with some angels, a school of tetras, one Molly, a school of danios and some armoured catfish. In the 2 hours it took to set up their tank and the 5gal for the other bettas he managed to get out of the breeding trap and a Krib nipped his tail.

Main tank:
I had all of their filters running on my big tank for 3 weeks before I set up these new tanks so that they had biological filter media ready to go, so that when I got the tanks and fish home I would be able to set them up. I also have been doing watch tests twice a day for the last week to watch for ammonia or nitrite spikes for the last week (when they were set up) now I'm doing them daily, and will continue for another week.
And if you're wondering why my fish had to travel 6 hours it's because the only place here that sells fish is a craphole and I refuse to shop there. They sell small animals that come from Hagen, they also breed some of their own in a windowless dank dirty little room, but only ones they can make big money on, like short tailed possums, because they can sell each one for $300. Then they also take in people animals that they can't keep and turn around and re-sell them. The very last time I was in there it was ferrets, they were asking $350 each, one was 2, one was 5 and the last was 7, yep they were asking $350 for a 7 year old ferret, so I import my fish because I won't step foot in their store.
