I want to go see it. I thought it looked interesting. I'll probably wait until it comes out on dvd though.

I saw it. It was a very good film. Compelling story. If you go in expecting "Transformers" or "Independence Day" you're gonna be disappointed. It's more a story about or society and how we treat those who are different.

That's why I wanted to watch it. It's not your regular alien movie. Looked like a good movie! Glad you liked it - wish I wasn't a woos.

Honestly, there isn't much in the "gross out" or "gore" to it. Sure there are a few exploding body parts, but not like you'd see in "Rambo" or something like that. Don't be a woos, see it :)

Only 20 minutes? That's..that's pretty much the most boring bits of the movie!

You need to right this injustice and go back and start watching it again.

I stopped when they were 'harvesting' usable parts from the guy. Is that the worst?

I just didn't buy into a lot of parts. Like how did the aliens crash if their technology was so advanced....and if the technology was so advanced, why were they all so dumb? and why were they originally trapped inside the mothership, if all they needed to fly away was that juice which was inside the ship?

Other than my nitpicking, it was a great movie!

Saw it, loved every aspect of it. Hollywood needs more films like this and less GI Joe bullcrap.

Loved the parallels to Aparthied and the District 6 issues. Knowing a chunk of South African history really makes the movie have a much deeper impact. Plus, you gotta appreciate the fact that most of the actors, including the main guy, had no previous acting experience and improvised most of their lines.

If I understood correctly, an illness that spread through the community affected them mentally. Thats what I gathered from it. I could definately be wrong.

It was one of the first movies in a very long time where I left the theater satisfied w/ the ending. I hate the way they end movies nowadays.

I love the cute little boy alien. I want one!

From what I understand is the aliens have a caste system and all that was left in the mothership were the workers/drones. That's why they're so stupid, they're not the intelligent caste.

They allude to this at the beginning and the main character mentions it once or twice as well when they're going through serving eviction notices.

I gotta say, I cringe when I hear the accents. LOL!
You mean all South African's don't sound like that? Also, I thought they were all blond with blue eyes ;) (no offense meant, of course - just ribbing a stereotype).
