Ok, so I keep getting worried bout Oaks, then I convince myself nothing is wrong...but I want to just double-check.

First thing I noticed were his very front cold paws (sometimes his back ones are too)! This is after being inside in a 68-70 house for hours & laying in my bed...they are still like ice!

Also, his HR is really slow...like 45 bpm...he is really active, so I know that slows it down...but dang...

And lastly, he breathes funny on occasion. I really don't know how to explain it...its like this weird huffing thing. If anyone has had heart palpitations & it trips up their breathing (this happens to me), it kinda seems like that is happening.

He also really has been just acting different for the past month...I've mentioned it a few times how he has been extra un-cuddly. He also will whine for seemingly no reason every now & then...which is just weird.

Oh, & he also seems to be loosing way more of his undercoat than usual...like massive amounts of it come out when I brush him, to the point that he has none left underneath his top coat

He doesn't seem sick though...he comes on 40 min runs w/me & has been eating/drinking/pooping fine.

soooo...whatcha all think?? Anything to be concerned about or am I crazy?

I think it's a good idea to have your vet take a look. They'll have a good listen to his heart and hopefully put your mind at ease. But if there is something there then the sooner it's dealt with the better.

Anytime Im concerned I take them to the vets, even if it’s just for your own sake. I’ve taken my chinchillas a couple times to the vets just because they were laying on their side. My vet rolled his eyes, laughed and said “Go home Courtney no charge.†He knows how paranoid I am.

So if at all concerned take him in. Im just as bad as you, lol.

If it were me, I'd probably go in just for a check. Sometimes an owner going in and saying something is "off" with the dog, it catches the problem sooner and most things are much easier to treat if caught sooner rather than later!
But, I've been to the vet just about once a week (or every other week) so far this year, so I don't know if I'd trust my opinion. :lol-sign:
