Hello everyone I just joined this forum a few days ago I have found the reading awesome and very informative.. As I placed in my greeting I am very proud to have found this forum..

Anyhow getting on with it Altos became very ill over night we rushed him to the emerg clinic at 2.00 am where the vet had stated right from the get go Altos did not look very good..

After a series of tests the vet informed us that Altos would have liver cancer..Altos did not make it he passed at 10.17 pm..This has been a great shock to us as we have had him for a life-time..

The vet stressed this could be caused from his diet.. would any of you know what I should look for and how I could recieve proper closure from this..

Oh gosh that is terrible! Don't have any ideas about the cause of the cancer, but I'm so sorry you lost him. Hopefully someone will be able to give you some leads. :(

Oh no! I'm so sorry. I don't know much about liver cancer and diet, but perhaps somebody else on the forum does.

I am so sorry. I don't know about the food and liver cancer.

I think you just need to take life one day at a time right now. Try to remember all the good times you shared and the love you had for each other.

I just googled to try to find info for you about dog food & cancer and found this site. When you're up to reading it, here it is:

Altos has gone hime and now I am left alone..No other dog will ever replace him god sure gave me a gift when he blessed me with Altos!

You're right. No dog will ever replace Altos - but you'll find that there is one out there who is waiting to fill some of the lonely void and ease the ache, and you'll look into those eyes and see that your Altos sent that one to guide and guard you.
