Really? I wonder what that means as far as relationships go, like is the perfect age gap 3 years, or does it matter at all as long as the woman is over 21 and the man is over 24, as far as how mature/compatable they'll be...
That, my ex was 24 and he would call me immature because I wasn't as experienced as him in the real world, and that maybe I would be more mature once I hit 21...umm no, I'll still be me. But I can say I didn't take a grain of salt to what he said about ME being immature as I wasn't the one who got into a fight outside of a club

I've only ever dated guys older than me. The oldest was 7ish year difference, I was almost 18 and he was 25. It was really weird because I was a freshman in college and he had multiple degrees.

My boyfriend now is 6 months older than I am (we're both 21).

My boyfriend is 2 years older than me...we're more or less on the same page as far as life goals, where we want to be, schooling, etc. I totally was NOT looking to settle down with one guy the day after my 18th birthday and he had, at 20, already planned on spending his life with two other girls (one he was VERY young, only 16-18, one had just been that past year) but hey, i guess if you find the right person you don't want to look for anyone else and it just makes sense.

I would absolutely date an older guy. And right now I'm only 19 so it wouldn't make sense to go younger, but in the future i would. I think as long as you're in a similar place or where you are in life compliments where the other person is, it's fine.

I would consider dating a guy a few years younger but probably not too many years younger. It depends on the guy.

Honestly I don't really want to date a guy too many years older than me either. I'm 25 and I don't even like to think about dating a guy who is 30. It just reminds me I'm that close to 30, LOL. 28 is a-okay... I could do that... haha

Brian and I are 7 years apart. I am 28 and he is 35. But when we met I think we were and still are in the same place in life as far as what we wanted from the relationship :)

and unless it was REALLY the right guy I don't think I would go younger. just had bad experiences with younger guys lol

Personally I would probably only date someone within 5 years of me (older/younger doesnt matter).

However, I know someone who is engaged to someone 14 years older then her and they really are the perfect couple and exactly what each needed.

So basically I dont judge someone for who they date/marry... as long as it works for them and its legal I suppose. :)

Usually I like guys older than me, not by much just not younger. One guy I kinda half like atm is 10 years older than me, I'm only 20 and that seems like a massive gap to me. Only until he told me I thought he was much, much clser to my age, he doesn't look or act his age.

Beware of guys that act much younger than what they really are! Especially if they are 30+ and still acting like kids! They might be fun now, but not when you are a little older and ready to be more serious and they are STILL in party mode and won't grow up!!

Probably because I never had a father figure I was always drawn to older
Hey I had (and still have) an AMAZING father, and I've always dated older.

Every person I've dated has been 2-12 years older than me. BUT I also haven't dated in about 6 or 7 years. There is a HUGE maturity leap, for both men and women, as they go through their 20's. Though I still tend to be attracted to older men, it's just because they have their **** together, which is what really matters to me. If a younger guy had his **** together, then you'd better believe he'd be in the running ;)

Don't worry Tessa, the idea of something serious scares the living sh!t out of me. I have plenty more party in me and not looking at changing things anytime soon. Plus my maturity level is shocking, I act like a 16 year old boy half the time. lol

I will go 3 years older and MAYBE 4.. MAYBE.. When I turn 18 though I wouldnt really care how much older I date as long as they over 28.

I cannot see myself going younger. Ive always been more mature then people my own age and tend to fit in better with the older crowd . The guy im almost dating now is 20.. Im 17.

My son's first wife was 2 yrs older ~~~ his new wife is 12 years younger . He's always been a Peter Pan at heart and she loves this . He hates being over 50 !
