Hey guys- I haven't been on in ages (who knew summer could be so much busier than the school year?) but now that I'm back, I come with exciting news!

Some of you may remember that the dog in my signature (shown at 6 months of age), is a Kimi puppy, co-bred by Leslie Engen (of San Jo Shibas fame), myself, and my twin sister. He finished his American championship quickly, thanks to the expert care and handling of Pam Peterson of Royal Kennels. He then went to Canada to do some growing up and obtain a Canadian championship.

Well...after doing that, he went back to Pam, who had absolutely fallen in love with him after finishing his Am. Ch. Imagine my surprise when Pam informed us that "Jessee" has been making some BIG waves in Ohio. He has taken a Group 3, a Group 2, and most excitingly a Best of Breed over the top Shiba in the nation!

We just couldn't be more proud of this boy- and Pam believes that he's only going to improve!

Best of all, he does this with an absolutely DYNAMITE temperament. Everyone who meets him knows that he's "special."

Thanks for letting me share- it's an honor to be involved with all of the people that have made Mr. Jessee such a success.

LOL- my situation reminds me of a quote from the movie "Best in Show":

"I like to think of Cookie and I as a team, although I do nothing."

Really, all the congrats go to Leslie and especially Pam for showing him to his championship and then some! My only true involvement is co-owning the dam (so I guess, Kimi gets even more thanks than I do!), and hosting him as a "homestay" student with his litter when Leslie was at Shiba nationals, and again later as a 6 month old puppy, just for fun. Still- it's amazing to be listed as a co-breeder on him- he's everything I would want in a Shiba.

Sometimes I have these bizarre moments where I'm like "THAT came out of MY dog???" LOL.

As for pix- I'll see if I can have Pam's permission to post some. She has been generous with them and sent us a few that I find stunning. He's much more mature now, and has really grown into himself. Very masculine looking- a lot like his daddy!
