I'm glad you're busy doing things that make you happy. You SHOULD be. You deserve it. You've worked very diligently to get there and I'm extremely proud of you :)
I have no idea when they do any notifications. I haven't seen any clue about that on the site, but could be overlooking it. I've been trying to put it out of my mind most of the time and not expect much . . . but then I think about reading the last two anthologies they published with the winners and being extremely disappointed with the quality of the work -- which could either mean they aren't getting great submissions or that the judges have very differing tastes in writing than mine :eek:

I sent the first part of Scent of the Moon, edited to stand alone as a short story, to the Writers of the Future competition. Entries closed September 30. I'm trying not to be anxious -- or expect much.
It was okay. No one got hurt and there weren't any fights -- mostly because I ended up making an unexpected trip to Oak Ridge with Mark so the local news could do a feature on his auction house. Poor guy was exhausted. Oak Ridge auction house sees business from baby boomers
