again with this. I really don't know what to do anymore. The herbs he was on weren't working so we tried different herbs. Those obviously aren't working either. It would be one thing if he had the same problem every time. But no, sometimes it's high ph, sometimes it's low, bladder stones, UTI, bladder infection, it's all over the place so it's not like we can say "THIS is the culprit, change THIS." It's not food and it's not water or it would be the same problem.
Does anybody have any ideas at all? I'm about to dive into Google and try to come up with something. The only other thing I can think of is to ask for an ultrasound and see if there's something going on internally, his breeder's husband suggested that. Auggie was cryptorchid and the vet who did his neuter is the kook who I feel mismanaged both Happy and Kota. I imagine problems should have shown up before he was five years old (when this all started) but maybe not? I'm just at my wits end here. I feel like we are going to have to go the route of putting him on a low dose of abx all the time. Either that or do a month of abx every three months routinely. He was just on them about a month ago for his bladder infection and when he came off them doc said his urine looked great. And yet here we are again. It's been almost a year since I first found out he was having problems (I remember because it was right after I brought Pay home) and now we're still struggling with stuff. A different problem but bladder/UTI problems nonetheless.
He had full blood work run before his bladder surgery last year so I don't think it's a kidney problem. I float his food in about a cup of water for both breakfast and dinner, sometimes he even burps up a little bit of water after eating because I think it's an awful lot of water. =/
My other option is to book an appointment at the small animal clinic at the vet school. Obviously Auggie thinks buying a house was a huge mistake and he's going to single handedly, and simultaneously, make me go bankrupt and insane.
