I took these two videos this morning after I was finished getting ready for the day. This is Dance's morning ritual. She does this periodically throughout the day as well, but especially so in the mornings for some reason. Usually just on the floor though -- not the bed. And now I have to go wash my mom's blankets as she's not going to be too happy about clingy Toller hair all over her bed and pillows, haha. Anyhow, hope you enjoy them!

And a photo of her and Ripley the other night:

Two dog beds in the room, and they both choose to sleep in the same one. Why? Because Ripley got there first, but it's Dance's bed and she refuses to give it up no matter how crowded it is, haha. Weird dogs.

Lol that is so cute and funny! I could be wrong but I don't think that's 'the' scream. I looked it up a lot on youtube the other day and it was higher.

Thanks everyone! :D

You know Dance always has a second home if you need it, right? :D
Haha, yep, I think you've hinted at that just once or twice before. :p

Tooo cute! Izzy does that a lot too, she also likes to rolls around on her back with a toy in her mouth/paws.
Sometimes Dance gets even a little more crazy with the rolling than that. We think she's addicted to the static charge after, LOL. She's always rolling around, or found on her back playing by herself with a toy. She sleeps on her back a lot too.

And a third home. :D

So is that a Toller 'scream'?
Oh no, not even close. Dance doesn't scream ever, thankfully! That's just talking. She's a very vocal dog. Hardly barky, but she makes all sorts of strange noises to express herself. :)

Oh okay! lol. I was just wondering how bad it was - I'm not sure I could handle it.

What an adorable freaking dog. Oh my god.

Oz does the snorting thing too. She reminds me of Enzo a lot as well.

Aw, I love Dance. Always love the dogs who do those kinds of vocalizations. One of the tollers I know is always "woo-wooing" at everyone. It's so adorable.

Dance is still one of the best looking tollers I've met so far though!

Thanks you guys!

It can be pretty bad, but it is reserved for certain circumstances (extreme anticipation and excitement, or frustration) and can for the most part be controlled with a command on most dogs (so I've been told anyway). Hunters in the field cannot have a dog screaming. And when the dog is screaming, it's not thinking clearly, which isn't good either. A working dog needs to be able to focus on the task at hand, as I'm sure you know. The Toller's scream is a major pet peeve of 99% of every Toller person and breeder out there. We all just deal with it if need be because we like the rest of the breed's traits. :)

some toller screaming: YouTube - Toller Scream!!! Vito demonstrates with the help of Lance the corgi.

now I have to say its a lot louder in person but yes its that high pitched. I have sat in front of tollers at trials :) (ususally they are quiet but if their human runs another dog.. oh the noise!)

I still want one one day! Its not like the scream a lot.

Actually I just realized that Sport's scream is ALMOST a toller type scream.

My work computer doesn't have sound, so I didn't get to hear the vocals (I'll watch again when I get home), but even with just video Dance is so cute!

Morgan has recently developed his morning ritual. It amuses me to no end the things dogs come up with. :p
