so one would rather have her left the dog ALONE in a house he was unwelcome in with the risk of an obvioulsy abusive drug addicted significant other able to enter the premises at any time, who had already stated he would give the dog to another of his meth addict friends...
i would have rather put the dog to sleep there and then than to risk the dog being taken one night and handed over to a meth addict...
some people CANT get onto the internet every 5 minutes to check responces... it was already stated that she had sporradic internet during the entire situation...have you ever at 8 months pregnant tried to lug a toddler to the city library so you can check a forum for the possibility of a transport all the while knowing the dog is sat in an empty house alone with a great possibility of someone comming and just taking the dog?!
its easy to judge when your not there...
i feel horrible that such a thing happend to an obviosly amazing dog...
but what ifs and you could'as wont bring him back...
you cant make "reggin" feel any worse about the situation than she already does...
and the situation wasnt dropped once since then, everytime she posts theres the snide side comments, visious jabbings and general cattyness!
but serioulsy folks, put yourself in those shoes...
a toddler, heavily pregnant, VERY abusive SO, being evicted (as for her rights as a tenant, unless youve read the lease how do you know...if the lease was up the landlord doesnt even have to give you notice...under new ownership, same, its not required by law in MANY states to give a tenant notice...) nowhere to go that would take the dog...
youve got the choice of HOPING to get a transport in place in time...the certainty of a shelter (noone could have expected them to simply put him to sleep that night)...
a shelter, or living out of your car to keep your dog is great, but try doing that with a todler and a baby on the way...
as a side note:
i do NOT have children...
i will NEVER have children...
i dont even LIKE children...
but i CAN see why someone with children would put theirs before their dog...
for me i have options, my parents would take me in in an emergency...
and in truth i WOULD rather live out of my car with my dogs than live without them...
but i can also see where in a moment such as that, with only a Possibility of a transport...i absolutly would consider a shelter or putting them to sleep should rehoming fail in the time span i had...
