If you have an indoor cat ((Or outdoor that uses a litter box...)) can you help me out a bit here?
OMG..... these two cats dirty up 2 BIG Boxes by the end of the day!!! I cannot believe how much ummmm *crap* they produce!!! If this is the way it has to be, then oh well I will just clean their boxes twice a day... but really, 2 cats, two full boxes in a day:yikes: How do they put out that much??!!!:lol-sign:
I am looking to hear what kind of regimes you have your cats on, food types, Litter types, how often you do boxes etc etc..... I am pretty busy these days and this extra chore just adds to that. I had hoped I'd be able to just have a bit to scoop each night not a full on half hour or more of box scooping...
I have one on raw, one on kibble/wet/whatever else he'll eat and the third on primarily wet with a bit of kibble. The raw-fed cat has the best poops, easy - they are teensie and don't smell nearly as foul. Mine have about 1 BM a day each, occasionally two. They pee more than that, though I'm not sure how much. I try to clean it every day, but I'm forgetful... and with three cats and two large litterboxes, plus a small covered one, it's a lot. =/ I hate litterboxes. If you improve the quality of food it should get better.
I'd like to ask... how large are your cats approximately? How large are your litter boxes - approximate measurements would be good.
Wet is a lot better for cats. (wet is great for dogs too) But cats really don't seem to drink enough. Cats fed dry are usually living in a state of mild dehydration (which is why they have so many urinary problems)
:hail:
Wet is expensive, though, so if you feed them dry I fully understand. Raw is cheaper than wet, however, so if you want to go that route, it'd be awesome for the cats if they take to it!
