I'm turing 16 in January. I have no idea what to do. I keep thinking I'd just like to do something for myself - no party or friends over. But at the same time, I think I might regret not doing something.

I dunno. Has anyone here not had a Sweet 16 Party and regreted it?

I didn't have a formal one, I just had a BBQ. I don't know if that counts or not... but I definatly don't regret it... If given the chance, I'd still opt for the BBQ. Since then my "birthday parties" have been more along the lines of me going for a weekend roadtrip.

I didn't have one and don't regret it. But I also never really did the whole party thing for my birthdays.

I had my best friends over and we had fun, just the 4 of us. So much better than a huge bash where I would have invited to many people.

Mine was not a big deal - definitely no party... dinner with the family, movie with my sister, and then went to street racing.

I was more focused on being a step closer to 18 and 21, so I don't regret not having a "sweet 16" party.

Now if I could go back and change one thing it would be scratch the street racing, the bitching I had to endure from my mom was intolerable once she found out :rofl1: Otherwise nope, wouldn't want to change anything.

I didn't have one... I ended up getting cash that would've gone to a party, and I went out shopping and spent the day with my 2 best friends. We had a really good time.

I don't regret it at all.

I didn't have one, I'm still 16 though so i don't know if I'll regret it, but i don't think so, it's just another Birthday party, I've had a bunch lol. I had a celebration with my family still, a cake and all that, but no friends over or anything like that.

It's not as happy a day as it used to be though, it's the day Max died, so I'm not really in the party spirit.

I didn't have one. I didn't see the significance in turning 16... I just went to Dairy Queen with a couple friends and then went out to dinner with my family later on. Meh.

But I don't really like parties, so.

I just had a small party. A few close friends. We had some drinks, played some games and then just watched movies all night and talked about nothing.

Save the big parties for when your older. That's when they get fun. :D

16 isn't anything special, so I didn't do anything (I think I might have gone and bought some shorts that I needed). Don't regret it at all. Personally, I'm more looking forward to my 21st birthday this year (assuming I don't have a test on it like I usually do...)

I didn't either. Just had my close friends over for a small get together. And we saw a movie. I don't like having big parties. I always just have my close friends over. I can't wait for my 21st birthday though, we are going to Las Vegas! (I haven't been there for almost 6 years!). (I will be 20 in Feb).

I didn't do anything for my 16th... or my 18th, for that matter, which here is a bigger deal than turning 16 to most people. I don't regret it. I haven't had a b-day party of any sort since I was 6yrs old. All I ever do is go out for dinner with family, which is a combined birthday dinner for my brother and I as our birthdays are exactly 2 weeks apart.

I didn't have one, but I wanted to throw one for my girls. Chris opted to skip the big party and have a night at a hotel with a few friends (us too of course, LOL) Cat liked that idea so much she did the same thing this year

I got CHEATED! hahaha.......oh well, I guess there's always graduation :D

I didn't have one and it's safe to say I definitely didn't regret it. That birthday was the crappiest one I have EVER had - I had just broken things off with my best friend, a cat I loved died right before it, and we adopted and returned Garnet that month. It would have been the worst party ever.

If you just want to do something for yourself, Jen, you should. Don't get sucked into a party you don't want. *hugs*

Now, what day is your birthday again? :D
