^^^sorry they post the thread before you're done with the poll, but I believe that would fall under option #9. Which is what I also picked. I believe in god, but I am not sold on any one religion. When I did attend services, I would go to a different type of church each week. I like hearing everyone's views.

Not even remotely in the slightest.

Religion is something you're taught at a young age. I come from a completely UN religious household. So much so, that when my gran passed away she had a humanist funeral - not one mention to any higher being or god. Beautiful service and none of that oh art thou, amen (i nearly said crap then ;) ) stuff.

I have a healthy respect for anyone who can place faith in something though, and I find religion interesting.

But I don't believe it.

There isn't an option up there for me so I didn't vote.

I do believe in God, I still pray, I don't believe in religion any more.

Kevin was raised going every time the doors were open, and went to private Christian school. His father is a licensed minister.

We used to go to services every Sunday and Wednesday night. We were youth group leaders (we "taught" class for the teens and arranged activities and such)

The more I saw, the less I liked. I am not talking about the teens/kids......I am talking about the adults. I guess I expected better from them, at least while they were IN the church building, LOL

Coop, you would be option # 7:I do not go to services, but devote time to praying and reading from my “holy book."

I only had 10 to work with so I tried to get them to fit as best as possible. And to me Religion is not Church. Church is an expression of Religion, not the otherway around.

I am very spiritual, not really religious. I definitely believe in higher powers, but I don't go to church. I have very set beliefs but I find them a bit hard to word. I classify myself as a Christian of some sort.

ETA: I pray and meditate some. I don't really read from a holy book often enough to say I do. I don't go to church except sometimes very occasionally with my family. I didn't see that as an option.

I go to church weekly and try to devote a few moments during my day to prayer so I chose that option. I am Roman Catholic however I would be interested in the Liberal Catholic Church if there were one in my area--which there is not.

I was raised Catholic with a Jewish father...and the end result is that I am a very weird christian of some sort...(Cashew)

I tend to describe myself as non-religious, but VERY faithful...I've read/reading potionions of various holy books because I have an interest in that...many of the techings are the same...just worded differently.

So basically...not a whole lot of organized religion here...I believe very strongly in God, and I like to 'speak' to him and pray and read on my own terms...sometimes includes a bible study group :)

Same as coop. #7. They only give you 10 choices, so I tried to do the best I could with choices.

No services, no prayer but I do believe in god.

Religion to me is one of those things that is founded on wonderful principles of being good to your fellow man and all that stuff but when put into practice by very flawed human beings is easily corrupted and used as an excuse to do the exact opposite of the beliefs it supposedly teaches.

I do believe there is something out there much grander then we are. God seems like just as good a title as any.

yeah, same here. At first I thought, maybe it was my church, so I started going to different ones, and I found that it wasn't. I don't pray, I don't read holy books very often, but I do believe there is "something." I guess you could say I believe more in Nature. Strangely enough, since I stopped going to church and just decided my "religion" is my daily life... I've become much calmer. I mean yes I do get upset about things, but nothing like I used to, and nothing like most people I know do. I am often asked why I'm not "stressing out all the time" and "what does it take to really p!ss you off?"

I saw that option and lingered over it...........but I don't devote time to reading my "holy book" (bible for me) I have read it all, and I do consult it from time to time, but to say I "devote" time to it would be a stretch.

I guess what I meant when I said I don't believe in "religion" was that I don't believe in organized group religion such as "the church" any more.

I do have religion as defined in Webster's (especially #4), but the whole church experience left me cold.

The only holy Books I've read so far are parts of the Bible and Koran, but I hope to expand that once I have some free time. Religion is fascinating to me.

I have mixed feelings about the church. I have never found one I agree with completely. All seem to have a sort of 'we're right, you're wrong' attitude. However, that said, a lot of the best people and most dependable people I have ever met, I met through church. There was no doubt that they would be there to help you in any way they could whenever you needed it.

Coop, with #7 I was just trying to say I don't go to church, but I do pray etc. as opposed to #8 where I was saying, although I believe there is something out there, I don't do much in terms of practicing any type of religion.

As I move farther and farther away from my Christian upbringing, I believe more intensely and connect more intensely with the Old Ways of my Celtic ancestors.

My "holy books" are read in the Moon, the Stars, the Earth, the Elements.
