Took Talon to Potty, come back with a dog bite. >_<
A corgi that was off-leash (Talon on leash) went after Talon. I tried spinning him in big circles to keep it from getting him, which was mostly successful other than a few fur grabs. But it kept getting closer to his legs and the owner of the corgi was walking over so slowly I was worried it was going to get Talon or Talon would get fed up and get the corgi. So I scooped Talon up real quick and the corgi leaped for Talon but got my leg instead.
The owner then scoops the corgi up and just walks away. She didn't apologize, she didn't say anything to me, she simply picked up her dog told her dog that "that wasn't nice" and walks away. I yelled back to her to get a leash and got Talon inside and told the manager who is going to handle it. There is a on-leash at all times policy on this property.
I know most people have their dogs off leash anyways, and I don't care if it doesn't bother us, or if she would've apologized and seemed like she actually cared I probably would've just let it go unless it happened again. This is the first time I"ve seen that particular dog so another run in would be unlikely and it didn't mean to bite me necessarily, it was more of a redirected bite (not a miss talon get me, but a damnit I want that dog I'll bite you to get my frustration out instead). But not even an apology and a bit on me and serious attempted bites on Talon, yeah no. Not letting it slide.
Luckily it didn't break the skin, but I'll have some nasty bruises. Argh, why can't people understand their dog is not "harmless" no matter it's small stature?
