Really? That was it?

I think I'm disappointed out-of-proportion because I loved last week so much. I'm not a Jack fan on the best of days, but did we really need a whole episode about him getting his tattoo? Did anyone really care that much?

Tom got the best line of the night "See this glass house you're living in? Want me to get you some stones?" or something.

Why aren't these people more curious? Kate and Sawyer had an Other right there, willing to talk, and they didn't push! "Oh, you are giving the kids a better life. That's okay then." "You have backyards? Really? So houses? Are there neighborhoods? Where on the island is this place?"

Please let next week redeem the show; I really think last night's was my least favorite ever.

I wanted to know about Jack's tattoo, but I hate Jack with a passion. I was hoping they'd tell us then kill him off. xD

Hmm, I thought last night's episode was pretty good. I was actually really curious about Jack's tattoos.

But, it was definitely not the best. Hopefully next week is better.

Yeah, last week's was fantastic. I think if you don't go into this week with super high hopes (as I did following last week), and if you can tolerate large doses of Jack, it will be okay. ABC really promoted it as the episode with big answers and...well, like I said. I wasn't really concerned about Jack's tattoos to begin with. I wanted more answers out of Carl and Cindy.

I think the three mysteries were supposed to be:

*Jack's tattoos
*The people taken by the Others are alive and well, and don't appear to be held against thier will.
*The Others live on the same island as the Losties.

As I said, I don't consider the first to be a "big mystery", and the third we already knew from the season opener.

There is some big confusion on another board I go to about the mysteries, since the producer had said that three big mysteries would be explained this season: I think they were where the Others lived, what exactly the smoke monster is, and how Locke lost the use of his legs. I think the promo guys just came up with their own three mysteries for this episode. I think the other two questions posed by the producer will be much more interesting!

I'm really disappointed in this season.

Last week's episode, with Desmond, did manage to peak attention with what I found was the best episode of this year/season and a glimmer of hope that the show I loved so much last year was now coming back. But this week's show has once again drowned me with even more questions and left me with very few answers or answers I felt I really didn't care for that much.

I think Lost has lost me as a viewer this year.

Ah, I see. But the answer to those mysteries just opened up to new questions, which I am a bit disappointed about.

Jack's tattoos - Okay. We know what it says now. But it's not what it means? Why did those people beat him up for it? What about the rest of the tatto (it wasn't there when the guy lifted his shirt up to look at his tattoo...it was just the four chinese characters)?

The people taken by the Others are alive and well, and don't appear to be held against thier will. - But why? Aren't the others bad? What did they do to them? Did they brainwash them?

The Others live on the same island as the Losties. - Where? Why?

Oh well. I'm not actually too upset from the lack of answers...I'm just going to go with the flow and wait for the answers to come. :D Lost still remains the most unique show I have ever seen.

The lack of answers doesn't really bother me - that's what this show is, and it's why I fell in love with it. I've been rewatching a lot of the early episodes with a friend who just got hooked, and we do have a lot of answers; as you said, they just open up more. I loved last week so much because of the questions/mystery.

Last week's episode, with Desmond, did manage to peak attention with what I found was the best episode of this year/season and a glimmer of hope that the show I loved so much last year was now coming back.
See, I wasn't that impressed with season two. I think most of the episodes this season have been an improvement.

I do hope that the producers set an end date with ABC. This isn't a show that can go on indefinitely, and I think setting one now will give everyone a plan, and will allow mysteries to be revealed gradually, leading up to a finale that will explain it all. I'm guessing the show should go on for five seasons total.

I forgot where, but they already decided how many seasons Lost would have...was it four? or five? or six? I don't remember. I will try to find it again.

This episode was really good.

I actually knew Jack/Claire were half-siblings ever since the AnaL episode...Two for the road. Remember? Christian went to an australian woman's house and was talking about how he had the right to see his daughter, and she said he didn't. Blonde hair. Curls. It just all kinda made sense. Plus, people were talking about it on the internet so... :p

I hope they find out they were related...it'd be a sweet scene if Claire asked about him and stuff.
"So what was dad like?"
"He was a *******."

Yah, I had mentioned back when that episode was played that Claire was his daughter. It still gave me goose bumps when I saw him by her mom's bedside though. lol

I never realized that he died of alcohol poisoning. I thought that we were still unsure how he died.

What I like about tonights show was it felt a lot more like the last seasons. In which they have more then one story on the go, like the scenario with John, Kate and Sayid, then the one with Clair, Charlie and Desmond plus Claire's flash backs. And that extra little short but funny clip with Sawyer forgetting about his deal on no name callings for a week...lol

Yeah, same here. It felt like a season 1-ish episode.

That thing with Charlie and Claire was sweet. :) About how Claire realized how much Charlie would have done for her but would have died in the end... *squee*

Thank god for this massive up-swing in episode quality. This week was the best episode so far this season, and topped most of season two as well. It's so nice to see our old buddies back.

I had suspected the Claire/Jack connection, but try really hard to stay away from spoilers, so I was happy to see it confirmed.

I want one of those security systems around my house.... Can't wait for next week!

^HAH! It'd be very effective, I'm sure. :p

Yeah, I can't wait until next week. Can't wait to see how he got in his wheelchair. I've been wondering about that for quite a while.
