February 7th is the first new episode. I am very excited, and just started rewatching the six episodes from the fall. I'm not thrilled with the time change - I'm not sure even Lost can keep me up until 11 pm! Thank god for TIVO!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! The Lost I fell in love with is back!

Even though it wasn't as focused on the original Losties as I had hoped, I was sitting up the whole time, working scenerios over in my head, trying to figure out where it was going. Lost is better brain food than a crossword puzzle. And then a wonderful little twist right at the end, that has me wishing it was next Wednesday already.

Season one, the producers said that Charlie was safe from being killed, since so much of the original fanbase was LOTR fans who were watching just for him. Of course, I think Lost has enough fans of it's own now, so perhaps they feel it would be safe to get rid of Charlie.... Who knows!

Charlie might die?
It was made to seem like he will, although of course this is Lost. Desmond has been trying (so far successfully) to save him, but we learned during the episode that nature "has a way of course-correcting itself". Therefore, we are supposed to assume that Desmond will at some point fail.

Oh ok, I hope he doesn't! I can't wait to see it now!

At first, I didn't believe they would kill him off since the deaths on Lost are usually surprising and not so obvious...but making it obvious does stop the repetitiveness. It could be surprising too since we don't believe that he will die...I don't know.

Darn Lost and it's circular logic! My current theory is that someone else will die trying to save Charlie, and that will be nature correcting itself - someone will take Charlie's place, and therefore the death count is as it should be. If it's Sawyer, Jin or Desmond, I will be very very angry. Not that Sawyer would ever risk his own life for Charlie, and Jin wouldn't understand what's going on....

I'm also glad to see that, in his brief scene at least, the old Locke is back. Gone was the weird obsessive guy from the hatch, who did things without any reason, and the wonderful, mystical island guru returned. "We all know the island killed him."

I should go look at the writer for the episode. It's almost like there was some stand-in for most of season two and the first part of season three, and now the real writer has returned. Or maybe JJ Abrams is back at the helm finally.

Yeah, I think JJ has something to do with it.

Hmm...that sounds like a good theory. But then again...the old woman said that his purpose in life was to die. (How pleasant...) His purpose and no one else's. Desmond had a different destiny. So I'm not really sure about the death count thing. Numbers don't seem to make a difference in this situation. I'm just guessing, though.

Dang that woman was creepy. When she was like, "No, you can't have it. Give me the ring." and then went on into that whole bit thing about how he's supposed to think about it and then break Penny's heart and push a button every 108 minutes and turn the fail safe key.

You know, I didn't remember thinking he was that hot last season. But now...quite enjoyable! I prefer a bit more snark with my long-haired cuties, though, so Sawyer is still tops.

Have you noticed everyone on Lost is good-looking? Uh, nevermind. I take that back. Maybe not EVERYONE. (eheh...*cough*lockehurley*cough*)

Omg...Boone is hot. Too bad he died. :( The hottest lost guys: Jack, Sawyer, Des, Boone, and Charlie. The girls are pretty too.

Have you noticed that Claire always looks like she just came back from Abercrombie and Fitch? And when did she get a hair-cut?

Well, I may not adore a few of those guys;) , but I'll add one more to that list - Jin. Amazing cheekbones, obviously. And that scene in season 2 where he was hanging around without his shirt on was worth viewing multiple times. There are very few people of Asian descent in my area, so I never really thought of them as sex symbols, but wow. I've changed my mind;) .

And I have no idea why all the ladies continue to look like they just stepped out of the beauty shop.

Haha yes, I forgot Jin. :p

Well, not especially Sun/Kate/the others. They always look a LITTLE dirty, and their clothes are simple. But Claire...she's always wearing stripes and layers and all that. She looks like she just came back from Abercrombie.
