I went outside to get the mail and saw a gorgeous yellow kitty (my favorite color) sitting in the yard. I got super excited because I am majorly having cat withdraws and wanted to pet it. So I said, "Hi, the kitty!" in my kitty talking voice and he chirped at me and started to come over...and then Abrams barked at it through the window and it got scared and trotted off. **** dog. I wanted to pet the kitty.

I need an immediate neighbor to have an outdoor cat that I can love up on. Or a stray that hangs around. Because I miss having a chirpy kitty to pet when I go outside.

She IS awesome! Go Cohen! Also probably the prettiest Aussie I've ever seen, even prettier IRL. :D
Awww :D Thanks! She's pretty, but you haven't heard her run yet! Oh my god, earlier this week at AAD she was insane. I got stuck in traffic and was frazzled, and she was wired for sound. Egad!

I did a bad thing... I visited the town shelter. There was a small terrier mix that just caught me after one glance. 150+ dogs and he's the only one I felt drawn to. His stray hold is up tomorrow, so I'm going to check on him next week to make sure he gets adopted. If he doesn't.... Well Chaz may have a new foster around. I'm sure he will though, he was just such a perfect ScruffMuffin.

My idiot cat saw her shadow on the curtain and attacked it. By the time it was over, the curtains were on the floor, three animals were tangled in the mess and the rod was bent. Gambit was the only one not in the fray.

Plus, Quid needs his eye tacked after all. Its not a surprise, since I was pretty sure the first vet misdiagnosed him.

And I have no idea where my fetching tag is. I ordered over a month ago, and sent a follow up email last week and have heard nothing

Ma'ii ruined our chance at getting to hang out with some extremely friendly wild sea otters when we were biking the California coast. He wouldn't shut his mouth, and ultimately scared them off. I was sooo pissed lol

I just... sent Trey's breeder an email. Wouldn't that be wild if I actually got in touch?

Oh HI. Remember me. You sold a dog to us like 18 years ago and are the person that first showed me agility. Well guess what, now I do agility! <--- :rofl1: That's pretty much my email.

The sheltie people at the show today acted like she was still around and also were all shocked that my family had a dog from her. Apparently she's kind of exclusive and a lot of the agility folk had wanted a dog from her but couldn't get one?

Yes. Yes. Get a Sheltie please. I've been having Sheltie want lately (I know, totally weird) so I can just live vicariously through you and Beanie :D

FINALLY got her Barn Hunt Novice title! And as a bonus, she finally got her Instinct, too LOL. She's getting super subtle about her indications because she has associated her finding the rat with my picking her up and us leaving the ring. So we are going to take some time "off" and I'm going to start working more Nosework hides all in the same room and hopefully get to some Barn Hunt practices so that she can just be used to finding one then finding the other, and possibly a third. Which she has to do soon anyway for the higher titles anyways.

Happy girl!

At the venue with judge Marian Shaw - she is awesome, as are all the judges/spectators I've met in this sport :)

My idea of "retail therapy" is a little different than most. I'm spending ridiculous amounts of money but it's to complete Gabby's health testing (I had to ship blood, that's cheap... or not) and ordering the Links It tag holders I've been wanting.

Because reasons.

Oh. I think I like those. I HATE changing tags.

Oh, that would be awesome!! And kind of ironic!
About 4 years ago I got into contact with Maddie's breeder. She wasn't breeding anymore but it was neat to talk to her anyway. I hope you hear back from her soon!

You totally need a Sheltie.... And you're making me want a Sheltie puppy in the worst way. My (local) breeder searches have not been going super well :p I'm doing my homework, and holding out for the right one :)

Went for a nighttime stroll with Juno and Cajun, came home and both dogs just went straight to my room and put themselves to bed. This is how I know they've had a satisfying day.
