Okay here's the long story. *warning - it's gross*
Came home and there was poop everywhere in the closet where I keep the dogs. They are both kenneled but it's a wire crate and she managed to somehow shoot it all over the walls and carpet. Anyways, so I was obviously concerned and took her outside. She went again outside and had really bright red blood all over her backside afterwards. So I called the vets immediately and none would see her. Got on here in a panic and then decided to call the e-vet. The lady at the e-vet told me to immediately take her in to the normal vet and said they shouldn't have told me to wait till friday because blood in the stools could be really bad. She said if I had trouble at the regular vet's to just bring her in the e-vet anyways.
So... we loaded up the car and took her to the vet. On the way there she started getting sick all in the car. I was in a rush so I didn't kennel her like usual and she basically had diarrhea all throughout my car and all over her leash. Then when we got there, I carried her in because I had no leash. I walk in, covered in diarrhea and holding a poop covered dog. The receptionist is on the phone, takes a look at me then keeps talking for several minutes. /annoyed/ She then hangs up and tells me they don't take emergencies. I told her I called the e-vet and they said to bring her into a normal vet's office. So they finally tell me to bring her back. I ask if they have anything to clean my car with and my dog with and they gave me towels but apparently they don't have any cleaning products? (I find hard to believe). So I cleaned out the car as best I could. It was terrible. They ran fecals on Summer and checked her over. She was super excited and happy and very obviously not lethargic. Basically everything checked out though and they think it's just some sort of colon irritation. Sent home with medicine.
Had to clean my car again, then clean the dog, then take a bath and do laundry for my clothes. I had to throw out everything in their kennel and throw away my nice lead and coupler since it was just soaked in crap. I was just supposed to head home to walk the dogs about an hour to take an essay break. 4 hours later... I still have to go back to the library to get some research done for my paper due tomorrow.
When I got home and let Mia out, she ran over and got a big drink of water then proceeded to puke it all up. Of course. It's been one of those days.
