Tail Chaser: On a lighter note, in the midst of all this controversy, your comment (post #28) made me laugh out loud. Very cute. It almost defused this hot topic but not quite. Weweee...we needed that little chuckle.

ok...having said that, let the battle continue.

One more thing I have been wondering through this whole thread, what in the heck would a poodle mixed with a pug look like? It just seems like a really odd mix.
yeah, they're talking about puggles, a pug and a beagle.

The pugapoo is a cross between a Chinese Pug and a Toy Poodle. Here is a link for it http://breeders.dogbreedinfo.com/index.php?a_id=20040120202129

i'm not condoning any of this by the way, just relaying information.

It's so sick though. People will pay $1000 for these so called "Puggles" when there are perfectly good homeless pug/beagle mixes in shelters.

Why isn't Ralphie worth $1000 to somebody?

It really pisses me off, the more I think about it and hear about it.

Well, at least we know where this Puppy Producer's puppies are ending up!!!!!! Good homes, yeah? Oliver had a great home in the Dickens' novel too, right? Food, a bed....all the advantages...NOT.

Did you notice that the moron who wrote the blub for the last dog was raving about how wonderful this new DESIREABLE breed is? It seems the people at PetFinders are idiots!!!!!!!!!!

Ack. It's not petfinder. It's the people at each shelter. They generally know very little about breeds. We were told that Maverick was a rottie pup. (he's almost full newfie)

As in perversion, rofl. The OP is perverted. Don't think your form of it exists yet. But give those BYGs (back yard grammar experts) time and it will, roflmbo.

The above is intended for just busting chops, as the saying goes.

Well, Brady is a LOT more handsome than that, and I can't pin down his exact mix of dogs. Does that make him an "exotic" breed and worth even more money to people like that? ;) LOL!

Imagine, I got my nice mix of a wonderful dog for free.

And a pug and a beagle sounds even more odd to me than a pug and a poodle.

And this "mixing of the breeds" really annoys me. Either breed for the betterment of a PARTICULAR breed, or don't. Dogs can mix with other breeds by themselves. It doesn't take a genius to do that. It takes a really talented and dedicated person to pick a breed and try to improve upon it and come out with healthy, well tempermented animals.

What a crying shame, to create more shelter puppies to PTS.

I am seriously about to loose my mind after looking at Karen101's website where she claims she raises healthy dogs. I just can't get over what I see there. Multiple mixes for sale, puppies kept outside, and how about on her pug page the morbidly obese pug in the left hand corner. Karen101, if you are reading this, your very obese pug is on the verge of diabetes and I can't imagine what his joints are going through with as long as his nails are. IMO- that is animal abuse. I hate seeing pugs kept in this manner, it's so irresponsible. Please Chaz members, view her website it's so sad!! :mhttp://natureridge.tripod.com/ad:

The link is not working, go to her first post and she supplies a link there.

Here's what she says in her guestbook.

For those of you who wish to accuse me of running a puppy mill, I wish to point out 2 things: 1. before you can make these accusations against me, you'd better have been here FIRST and seen for yourself. Quite easy to be judgemental about that which you are ignorant of. Two: Don't be soooo GUTLESS as to NOT sign your name and an emall address where I and EVERYONE else can contact you about your accusations. If you can't do those two things, yes, your entry will be removed. Its easy to call Wolf when YOU don't have to account for your actions. I'm accountable to the public, the Humane Society, my puppies, my dogs and my puppy customers and I expect YOU to do the same.

Now that I actually went to look at the website, it makes me literally sick to my stomach. These exact breeds are sitting in shelters with the possibility of being PTS, and she is making money off of them? That is insane!

And I am sorry, but what kind of dumba$$ people are falling for it? I would be at the local shelter and pay $100 to save a life in a minute before I would pay some byb ($1000! - oh my gosh, do you even know what kind of gorgeous GSD I could have for that) to keep up this insane way of thinking.

It really makes me sick at my stomach b/c this woman is one of the causes that so many unwanted animals are sitting in shelters waiting to be adopted or PTS.

Yeah I saw the website, what a shame. The people from that forum lose all credit in my eyes to support such a dog commerce... because it's really what it is. Healthy puppy? Yeah, right... not for much more than 6 months...

The thing is, I think she's just one of those clueless breeders, because her posts show that she has absolutely no clue about why some breeders sell their dogs for $1000... Probably never looked for info on how to be a good breeder, and never heard of health testing... It makes me pretty mad, cudos to Yuck to standing against that traffic...

Oh and I can't check the guestbook, the site reached the maximum traffic :(

It's pretty sad when you have to put something like that on your website...must get a lot of accusations!

So obviously there have been accusations, no wonder she got so flaming mad we were confirming what she new already. Truth hurts or so they say, I find it rather refreshing in this cruel sad world. That is why I stick to it. To think no one here would have knowen anything about her, if she had not come here and exposed herself. Maybe it is a good thing after all, act as an information session for anyone thinking of doing business with people of that nature. I still can't believe her croonies come here and read the threads and then report back to her. Wake up and smell the coffee folks!

Man you guys post to darn fast I can't keep up. Hey I may not be all that knowledgeable but when my ex and I breed GSD's we made $0 and most times barely broke even. The money that went for temperment tests and health tests alone, if he had not had a mom with loads to help pay the bills we would have never survived. It makes me angry just thinking about those poor puppies and those poor dogs. Now I know why she refused to say anything when I asked her, she just said she did not need to justify herself to me. No not to me but how about to all of these people here and all of the people who refer to you as a puppymill. Maybe you need to re think your actions for the sake of the dogs and puppies.

Did you guys catch that she breeds these dogs in partnership with her 18 YEAR OLD daughter? That right there would make me very cautious about purchasing a dog from her. I know that many younger people know a lot about dogs on this forum, but I really don't know that many 18 year olds knowledgeable enough to actually breed and know the specifics that one needs to know about breeding a healthy animal. I am 27, and I would expect that most people that I would purchase a dog from and feel good about it would at least be that, if not much more. Now, don't you guys get me wrong, I know that there are some very knowledgeable young adults like Scarlette who has proven over and over her knowledge, but an 18 year old breeder would make me run the other way fast.
