I'd like to respond here as well...

I have lurked at this forum for some time, and this is how I discovered that yuckaduck was also posting at another site I post at. What troubled me is that the information posted here did not quite jive with information she was posting on the other site. At first I attributed this to my own misunderstanding, but I was deeply puzzled when she posted here about the barn fire on August 14th, and yet on the other site as of August 17th was posting as if the horses in the fire were still alive. And yes, these were the same horses, and it simply did not seem to make any sense.

Just as yuckaduck is a loved member of your community, Karen101 is a loved one of ours. I don't condone her coming here to post about yuckaduck, but I know she did so out of deep frustration after having been attacked by yuckaduck on our forum. Yuckaduck has said repeatedly on our forum that she breeds GSD's, and trains dogs, and the discrepancies in her posts on the two sites are too numerous to go into, and I really don't want to inflame things further.

I am not out to slander her, or to create more trouble, and if you choose to ignore my post that is quite fine. I have no idea if yuckaduck is telling the truth here, or telling the truth at the other site - but I can tell you that the stories given on each site are in fact different, and do not agree with each other.

I hope you can tell I am a reasonable person, and have found this whole episode quite troubling. At our other site we have been besieged several times by posters who misrepresented themselves and did great damage to our community, and thus we are quite wary of further occurrences of the same types of incidents. I commend you on your tight-knit community, and I hope you never experience the kinds of deceptions we have endured at ours. They tend to erode one's faith in people, and in people on the internet in particular.

Best wishes to you all.

Agreed Mel. This Karen has got another person to come defend herself. I don't want to get involved here. Karen and mybestfriendisadog, just go back to your forum and stay there. Dont bring trouble here please. Thanks. Yukka has gone through alot lately. With everything. Lets just give her some time to rest and re-build. And stop throwing bad comments at her. Thankyou

Please note that I was lurking here before Karen posted at this site, and I am not here to defend Karen or to cause further trouble. As I said our own community has had serious issues with individuals misrepresenting themselves, which is why I found the issue with yuckaduck so troubling.

it does seem that Yuck has some folks following her with the intent on trying to cause her harm. a personal vendetta of sorts? perhaps...but they can leave it there. this has nothing to do with us, and Yuck is a valued member of this forum so it really is in the best interest to ignore future posts such as these. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when it becomes apparent that these opinions are posted solely for the purpose of degrading a member then they become ridiculous.

I think the problem may be that Yucka is playing up certain sides of her dog experience to the other forum and lets down her guard a bit here, because there are more experienced people. So, I don't think it's a blatent misrepresentation, but more of a misunderstanding.

Actually, that's what it seems like to me too, Zoom.

I think she is more comfortable and open with us, and I see why.

skyhigh, what I am saying is that the opinions of persons from other forums has been stated...that is fine, but it has nothing to do with our forum or our regard for Yuck as a member. If they felt they had to follow her here and state their opinions, then they have done so...and they should move on. I have no interests in what is posted on other forums, only the interaction between our own members. I think most people would agree with that thinking. :)

Thanks Debi. I get it now. I agree totally with that. :)

BTW...I totally adore your dogs. Both are beautiful..and that little Maddy's pic is toooooooooooo saweeeet.

I just don't believe in people following people from forum to forum posting such nonsense. I only believe in what we feel in the interactions of our own forum. All new people are welcomed with open arms, but for those that come solely to vent....then after you have had your say......do move on so that our members can enjoy each other. And, always consider the source...and make your own conclusions.

Debi,
I have no intent on staying here to cause trouble. I am saddened as I quite like this board and these forums, and had hoped to become a member of your community, but after this incident between the forum I call home and this one I don't feel that's possible. That saddens me as I think your community has a great deal to offer, and I feel I could offer it something in return. I truly do wish the best for all of you, and I hope you are never the victims of the kinds of horrible cons we've had pulled at my home site.

I think you would be welcome to stay. Your post wasn't really out of line, you just stated you opinion. If you move on now, and don't fight with yuck or anything, I think you could get along fine here.

come on now. REALLY. Let's get a grip on reality. You are making it sound like she was your best friend and stole your husband from you. Drama queen. You are deeply troubled because she was on one site saying she was a dog trainer and she is on this site and hasn't mentioned being a dog trainer? If you aren't here to cause trouble then why bring it up. I think this is all pretty stupid. If you can't distinguish between internet and reality then I suggest you take some time away from the computer and get outside. Go find out what really matters in life. Not this stupid petty bullsh!t. There was no need for anyone to come here and call yuckaduck out. What are you hoping to accomplish here? are you trying to embarrass her? Are you doing it to make yourself feel better? what? what is it?

You had an opportunity to be a member of this community but you made the decision between that and opening your big mouth about a subject that no one really cares about. YOU made that decision yourself. Don't tell us how sad and sorry you are. WE KNOW how sorry and sad you are. Please go back to your other forum and chit chat with your cohorts about your next internet escapade.

Sparks, are you talking to Karen or MyBestFriendIsADog?

I think Karen was way out of line, but MyBest doesn't seem like a terrible person to me.

Not at all, sparks. This in no way makes me feel better or happy.

I am not saying yuckaduck has stolen anything, but at my home site we have had our faith badly eroded due to incidents of a serious nature involving people misrepresenting themselves. You may think this is being "dramatic" but our site consists of people who not only post on-line but also often meet each other IRL and become friends. We have sadly had episodes that have become very damaging both on-line and IRL.

And yes, I am troubled by people misrepresenting themselves on-line. I've seen the damage it has done.

MyBest, please don't feel we're chasing you out, especially not if you think there could be a mutally beneficial relationship. But, could I trouble you for some examples of the cons that have appeared on the other site? All I hear are references, and sorry if this comes across as apathetic, but I don't feel the need to go digging through another forum's old posts when all I want is a summary.
