You do realize that every scenario you used holds true for SS card toting, born in the USA types? And that the real culprits to be pointing fingers at for the shape of the financial industry today are those self-same financial industries?

It's not the illegals who are to blame for this - it's the industry. Would you blame a thirsty man for taking a free tap off of a cold keg?
Yes, of course the scenario can hold true for those born here, and that should indicate we have enough problems on our own, we don't need to compound the problem with giving credit to illegals.

The industry is to blame...OK well then it is time...high time...we throw some of these industrial giants (CEO, VPs, head of your local furniture factory HR dept) in a Federal penitentiary so they can reflect on their crimes. Maybe when that starts to happen there will be some deterrence in place and billboards advertising jobs just across the border will become a thing of the past.

We put them in our prisons for murder on our taxpayer money. That really freaks me out. What we should do is clip their ears and deport them and let their own government deal with them. That way, we if we ever see them again, we can identify them by the ear notch and shoot them.

Understand, though, that those stats may or may not have any bearing on reality. Realize how much easier it is to blame a crime on an "illegal alien" than it is to actually SOLVE the crime. Not to mention it's a great way to win public confidence and influence voters. After all - it creates a common enemy, real or imagined. And we're right back to Goebbels' precepts of effective propagandizing.

Are there illegal aliens who commit crimes? Sure! They're people too - good, bad and indifferent. But we had astronomical and climbing crime rates before we had astronomical numbers of illegal aliens, and the more people there are in a given area, the more crime is going to happen.

Repeat after me. There aren't millions of illegal aliens in the USA. They aren't costing the taxpayers a thing. All WHO and CDC and hospital birth records are lies. There aren't millions of illegal aliens in the USA. They aren't costing the taxpayers a thing All WHO and CDC and hospital birth records are lies...

An outfit my hubby worked for hired mainly Hispanic workers in California. There were at most 20 Anglos ( legal) and several other nationalities but the majority were Hispanic. One day INS came on to the job site and all there were was the Anglos. The hills were full of running Hispanics. INS told the owners that they had to show proof of citizenship or produce green cards for every worker there by the next morning or they will be shut down. Each illegal was given $ 250.00 by the company and told where to go that day and yep you got it they had papers in the morning. My husband was irate and quit the job because of it. But you see if we do not stop the business we can not stop the rest. As far as putting these offenders into prisons on my dime where they receive better health care then I do no way !!! I think that removing a business's license to do business or garnishing there profits would be better.

Ok now get this, that job was logging the hills in Big Bear Ca. These people were scattered all over the place so someone from the office sent out warnings that INS was there to the foremen and they spread the word to the workers so they could run before INS pulled up and got them. Then said same ones spread the word to go to the mess hall and get the money and location to get the proper papers. We can do all that we want to do at the borders and we can spend millions sending them back but it is worthless until we stop the need for them to come here. I can not see that sending them back is profitable to me as a taxpayer when companies are paying to have them re-imported. Now as I see it we are chasing our tails here because government is not nor will they ever go after big business' because who is the government after all ? It sure isn't me the little guy. We gave our government away a long time ago. This is like beating a dead horse. The freeways in and around San Diego ,Ca. are like ant hills. They are running across them in large numbers and can we stop it ? No ! Why ? Because it is not cost effective. We are going to be drained of our ability to earn a living because of greed and that is the long and short of it. Business' greed and our own. We as tax payers and wage earners are guilty of creating this monster we have before us today. How ? Way back we demanded better benefits and wages from these companies and allowed the unions to go get us better packages for working for these companies. We demanded more and more from employers and we gave less and less. How did we thank the employers ? We went out and bought much cheaper products from foreign companies and did not pay the prices that the domestic companies had to charge to cover our demands. We by way of our own greed started the whole thing.

That's stuff that not many want to hear, Aus, but it doesn't take away from the truth of what you've said there.

I'll never forget my idiot Uncle Butch . . . sweating bullets over whether or not he was going to lose his steel mill job because of imports . . . and then in the next breath saying as soon as he found out if he was keeping his job he was going to go buy a Honda. This was back when Hondas were all made in Japan.

He looked at me, his young niece very strangely when I told him he was a fvcking idiot, lol. So did everyone but my Dad and my Uncle Roy . . . they were too busy trying not to laugh out loud ;)

No most Americans sit back and complain about things but never take the hard way to fixing the problem. It is always the easy way out. Thing is each and everyone of us created this problem of corporate greed and now we have a monster that we want fixed but we are not willing to sacrifice anything in order to fix it. It is going to take another depression to stop this madness really and that is the long and short of it. Doing the work I did in finances I understand the bottom line and most people do not. We want our cake and to be allowed to eat it too. Of course these giants are employing illegals. It makes sound business sense to do it. And if the illegals are stopped then the companies just pick up and move to where the work force will work for a lower wage and be glad to have the job. This is an unsolvable problem until such time as wall street completely crashes and we are all working for peanuts again and just maybe then we will have learned about greed.
