Has anyone heard of TEKS KENNELS in Cloverdale, IN?

Yes, I did have my puppy checked for parvo and he didnt have it thank God. Well actually i found this forum because i wanted to buy another peke from Tammy and i couldnt get her website so i started looking and i found all these horrible things about all these other puppies she sold or that she sold and didnt give and it shocked me. I called Tammy today just asking about another puppy and it suprised me that she said she had another peke which i didnt believe after reading all these mail forums. However, Tammy did have the other peke (not the one i bought) but she said another lady was going to buy it when i picked up my puppy in December, and i thought it was odd that she would still have it today when i questioned her. Do you think that maybe she turned legit after having all those law suits or i just got lucky because i picked up my puppy the day after i sent the money? I wouldnt buy another puppy from her again because there is too much of a chance that it will have something wrong with it but if she does have the female puppy i would love to take it home to rescue it.

Since you already have a healthy puppy, I wouldn't chance getting another one from tammy cuz it could harm the one you have if the new one was sick. If you didn't already have a puppy, I may suggest you save a puppy from her HELL HOLE. I just feel so bad for the puppies who have to stay there & not be loved. They all deserve some love & the only way they will get love is to be adopted. Tammy had another Cavalier pup, that is the kind of pup I have, and I would've loved to have rescued it from her so called kritter heaven, but I could not chance a new pup making my lil' guy sick. It just goes both ways. You can think of it as rescuing a little one from that rotten place or staying as far away from her as possible. But I would definitely recommend never sending her money through the mail. If you live close enough, that's a different story. I get real angry thinking about Tammy, but I get real sad thinking about all the lil' animals there that need homes quickly before they die.

**Do not support this woman, not even because you feel bad for the pups** She's after money and she won't stop until the money dries up!!!
Call the law enforcement agencies in her area and makle a report, contact the better business bureau in her area and complain, contact the humane society in her area and make a report. All the outcry on the internet will never change a thing unless you go through the correct channels and get her closed down. Only then will she stop hurting these dogs.

The problem is, ALL OF THESE THINGS HAVE BEEN DONE. Several of us have contacted the police in her area, we have filed reports with the Attorney General, we have gone to the BBB and we have contacted the news stations in her area. No one seems to care about what goes on at her place. And several of us have done these things. I can think of 5 of us off hand.
I believe she will eventually get what is coming to her but a lot of animals are going to die in the mean time.
This is why I leave my email address on Chazhound, so people can contact me & I/we can try to help people take the right steps in reporting Tammy Gilchrist or whatever her real name may be.

You would think that after all the complaints filed against her Tammy would be shut down? What is she doing so that the law wont/cant shut her puppy mill down? I just dont understand. She has so many lawsuits against her why doesnt the law just take her out for good. I know its bad to say but i think the Indiana law thinks they have more things to worry about than saving puppies..UHH it just makes me so angry. Is there a way we could travel to her home and do something about all these dying puppies and dogs? She keeps most of them outside in a barn like house and then only some of them are kept inside. ITS HORRIBLE. I need to do someting. WE need to do something. I dont mind driving 7 hours to rescue these animals. Maybe some of us could meet up and go over there. WE NEED A PLAN AND WE NEED IT NOW BEFORE THESE ANIMALS DIE!!!

I let Tammy know that I knew all of this horrible stuff about her and the charges that were filed last March with the Indiana Attorney State General and, of course she says everything is lies or misunderstandings. She's "threatened" to file charges against my husband and I with the state police because she fears for her life. Our precious Poco only lived 6 days-she was sick when we got her-but Tammy said we killed her. You cannot talk rationally with this woman because she doesn't think rationally. She is so wrapped up in her own lies that that is all she knows. It truly made me sick when she told me that this was a mission that God put her on. She only said that because she knows we are Christian people. I pray that she gets her justice on this earth, but if not, come Judgment Day she will stand all alone in front of God and answer for all the horrible things she has done.
I would advise anyone against buying any animal from TAMMY GILCHRIST. My husband worked 12 hour shifts on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and we used money given to us by both sets of parents for Christmas to come up with the $500 to pay for our puppy. We spent over $100 buying things for her and spent almost $200 in vet bills to have her live only 6 days!!! This woman doesn't deserve to have any animals, but getting her put out of business is next to impossible. She's been ripping people off since 1983. People need to get the word out about her so innocent people will stop being hurt and her income will quit coming in.

I just sent a deposit to Tammy Gilchrist for a french bulldog. I am going to pick up the dog from in Feb. I was just wondering what everyone thinks I should do. I have already sent the deposit that is gone I have excepted that but do I go and try to get the dog or what. I am so confused.

How did you find this web site & what made you look for something having to do with Tammy?? I bet your stomach just got sick when you found all this about her, huh?? I know it did me when she had my money & I did not have my puppy! Grrrrrrrrrrr How much did you send her? If you do take a puppy, do all you can is MAKE SURE it is NOT SICK before you take it. If you decide not to take a puppy, you can bet you will never see your deposit money again. I know it makes you mad, but she will not give you your deposit back. Where did you find Tammy? On a web site?? I don't recall her selling french bulldogs before. Is it a puppy or a grown dog? I am so sorry you did not find this web site before you paid her any money. I'm so sorry, Dustin, that you didn't find out about Tammy before you sent her money. My heart is still breaking from the loss of my little Poco. We went to Tammy's house of Jan. 12 and picked her up and she died on Jan. 18. She was sick when we brought her home and spent time on medication, IVS, and with the vet. Noone else can tell you what to do-that has to be your decision. I'm telling you what we just went through. Her place was horrible and to have a gate on the front with chains and locks-it was really creepy. There were also guns laying around the kitchen. I was truly scared. Personally, I would NEVER go back there again!!! The only way this woman is going to be stopped is by getting the word out and for people to stop giving her money-that's the only way she will be put out of business. She has you sign a paper saying that she's running a "rescue center" and that the money you give her is a "donation" to help out with that. You cannot get your money back and the odds of getting a healthy animal aren't very good. We took Poco to the vet immediately and still couldn't save her precious little life. She was only 7 weeks old. Only "consumers" are going to be able to put her out of business. If there's no money coming in she will be forced to stop this horrible crime she's committing and getting by with.
like dustin i also sent a deposit for a french bulldog. she said she has a guy named jon jon that hand delivers her pups. very nice on the phone. i also made her send me extra pictures and references because i was nervous about getting scammed. she got very offended but did so. i am shocked after reading this and dont know what to do. i had strange feeling there was something fishy after i sent the deposit. has anyone ever gotten their money back? how can we stop her or who do we contact to report her? this is terrible.
You need to call and talk to Mary Ann Wehrnueller. She is the Deputy Attorney General for the State of Indiana. The number is 1-800-382-5516. You will be asked a lot of different options, but just stay on the line until you get the "live" operator and tell her that you need to talk to Mary Ann concerning Tammy Gilchrist. If Mary Ann is not in her office leave her a voice mail with your name and number and SHE WILL call you back. Please do this ASAP. Anyone that has had problems needs to do this.
I have just spent a long time reading all 20 pages of posts on this so called breeder and I have to admit I am very upset.
First of all let me tell all of you who have been cheated so terribly by this group of people that I am so sorry that you have had to go through this. You are all wonderful for trying to stop her and the others and I hope that you will soon succeed! I do not understand why it is taking so long for the various legal arms of government to shut them down completely and throw them in jail.
It is also upsetting to a good breeder when someone who professes to be a breeder cheats people like this. It gives all of us a bad name. But that is not all, I also get upset when I read that people are told to not buy from a breeder unless they find them at a show or if they advertise on the internet. There are a lot of good, caring and reputable breeders who do not have the time or the interest to show dogs. They may advertise their pups but that doesn't mean their pups are bad or that they will cheat you. That is painting a lot of good people with a black brush that they don't deserve.
I breed Yorkies and Min Dachshunds. I love my dogs and care about them. I have advertised a few times on the internet but for the most part I let my web page do the advertising for me. Most of my sales by this time (I've been breeding for 11 years) come from referrals or buyers who have purchased a pet from me before coming back for a second or third pet from me. But that doesn't mean that if I needed to I would hesitate to advertise on the internet.
I was very upset by the post by an unnamed individual that included very insulting words that I was surprised the moderator let be seen.
But most of all, I am upset about all of those puppies. I can't believe that someone would allow puppies to suffer and die needlessly. If you read of all that has been reported then there has to be a vast amount of bad stuff going on to those puppies that we don't know about.
I applaud those of you who are trying to put a stop to this cruelty and if there is anything I can do to help please don't hesitate to contact me privately. They need to be stopped before more puppies dies and families hearts are broken.

CARLAR, Thanks for your support. Not only does Tammy steal our money but she plays with our emotions too. We fall in love with our puppies even before we get them, then they are either, not delivered to us or they die after they arrive or before they arrive.
I was very lucky to have received my money back but a lawyer helped me. It took a very long time but I did get it. The puppy I paid for was already sold to someone else a few days before I paid for him. I sent Tammy $800 & she no longer had the pupppy in her possession. It didn't stop her from taking my money though. I think that is the reason I got my money back, and for that fact that I discovered her deception. Did Tammy think I wasn't going to notice if she sent me a different puppy??? Tammy still denies this but I know it is true & so does Luanne/Anne. Luanne is the gal who has the puppy. And this puppy has a wonderful home now!!!!
Luanne & I made the discovery after meeting on Chazhound. How ironic is that???? And what are the chances of that happeneing??? Luanne sent me a picture of her new puppy, which is not completely healthy, which Tammy lied about also, and I sent her a picture of the puppy I was SUPPOSED to get (Tammy told me it died). AND THEY WERE THE SAME DOG/SAME PICTURE!!!!!!!! Tammy sold us both the same PUPPY!!!!! CRAZY LADY!!!!! We just wonder if she sold it to other people too because it was still listed FOR SALE a few weeks after Luanne bought him. And Tammy advertised it under MALE & FEMALE!!!!
We need to stop TAMMY & this so called KRITTER HEAVEN PLACE. It has been a nightmare for way too many people & many many animals. She is the most dishonest person I have ever run across & has no morals whatsoever.
