I'm going to spout off a few breeds of dogs. I want you to tell me your initial thought(s) of the breed. Don't think about it. I want the first thing(s) that come off the top of your head. Keep it simple.

EXAMPLE: Beagle
My answer would be: smelly, annoying bark, small, low attention span & brown n' white.

I think this will be a great exercise to see and comment on the asumptions people make about dog breeds. Keep it fun and this post is in no way out to offend anyone The things you list don't have to be true about the breed. I just want tfirst thoughts.

Here's mine. I'm in NO way saying these things are true about these particular breeds, but it's just my first thoughts:

1.) Chihuahua- tiny, loud, short hair, bitey.

2.) Chow Chow- Unstable minds, long hair, brown, aggressive, untrustworthy.

3.) Lab- Playful, happy, short hair, loves water, tennis ball freaks.

4.) English Springer Spaniel- Hyper, chases birds,

5.) Border Collie-Smart, agile, a lot of energy, trainable.

6.) Pit Bull- playful, alot of energy, loving, have a mean look, can kill.

7.) Australian Cattle Dog- Smart, a lot of energy, one-person dogs, territorial.

8.) Norwegian Elkhound- Barker, a lot of hair, snow dog.

9.) Mastiff- Huge, black & tan, kind of a "duh" temperament.

10.) Jack Russel Terrier- Hyper, jumps, digs mouse/mole holes.

11.) Malinois- Shutzhund dogs, looks like a German Shepherd, a lot of energy.

12.) Catahoula Leopard Dog- aggressive, odd looking, hound

13.) Saluki- fast, agile, looks like they wear a wig.

14.) Bloodhound- Impeccable tracking ability, big, wrinkly, droopy eyes.

15.) Pharaoh Hound- Egypt.

3.) Lab- half dog/half fish, mind of their own compared to a golden!

4.) English Springer Spaniel- Now, the Queeeeeen would like her teaaaaaa right nooooooow to celebrate her fellow Brits! (for some reason, I think about British people with really pash accents and curly moustaches when I hear about Spingers )

5.) Border Collie- LETS TAKE A WALK, THEN A HIKE THEN WE CAN RUN THE BOSTON MARATHON, AFTER THAT WE CAN CLIMB MT. WASHINGTON, THEN WE CAN GO TO THE INTERNATIONAL AGILITY CHAPIONSHIPS, OH WAIT, THAT WOULD TAKE MORE THAN A DAY...LETS JUST SKIP SLEEP TONIGHT
