Cat help, PLEASE! HELP!

I just CAN NOT rush a cat into the vet at 10:30... If you can, then you're a great caring person, who obvisly goes to the highest extreams

I would not call taking a cat who I believed was in mortal danger to the vet at ANY hour being a great caring person or going to high extremes......just part of being a pet owner.

And dear I know you are a minor. You do not control the car keys and purse strings. I am not calling you a bad person, don't take it that way at all. I don't want to talk down to you either, if it comes across that way I am sorry.....you seem pretty mature for a kid (more so than some here and in real life). It was just shocking to alot of folks that you would just leave your kitty in pain all night and not at least BEG your mom/dad to take you in to see a doc.

But again, I am GLAD that Jenny is feeling better and I hope she keeps improving

you know what happens when you tell one lie? you have to tell another, and then another and yet another just to save yourself from people finding out.

So, what was the real story becuase so far, your vet is in Africa, he is retired, and apparently there arent any vets in your area...

oh, and just becuase a doctor gives me advice on how to stop a small cut from bleeding doesnt mean that I am qualified to set a broken bone, or diagnose a concussion(sp). I dont think that your mom should have been the deciding factor on whether or not your cat was ok, givin the condition you found your cat in last night.

I think that you made a very bad judgement call, and your lucky, it turned out okay (as of right now), but what if it was something that could have been fixed rather easily?

I HAVE NOT LIED! I said my vet is in Africa, HE IS! I said he was retired - HE IS! I guess no one thought my vet could be retired and moved to africa, which he did! You know, I didn't expect to have people talk to me this way, I knew I'd get bashed. But, if you knew anything about my life off of this computer, you'd know my family has finincial issues, and NO there aren't MANY GOOD vets around here... Never once did I say There WERE NO VETS!

However, I am really worried because shes cold. Jenny is very attached to me, and I am scared shes purring because I found her and that she is happy Im with her before she dies

I can't take her to a vet, as its 10:19 PM here, and I have school tomorrow...

ETA: I think shes got internal bleeding, and wont make it through the night... Off to spend what could be our last hours with my baby... Good night Chazzers.

I'm glad Jenny's better and that I didn't see this earlier !!!!! PLEASE....line up a vet ASAP !!! With all those animals you MUST have a plan !!!! I hope that you have all their records at your finger tips . BE PREPARED !!!!

As I have pointed out, I said a lot more than that! And when I said AC was a good person, I MENT IT! In your eyes I may not be a good owner... But you know what, I know people who would have taken Jenny last night, and put her in a bucket of water and drown her! So, you try telling me Im not a good person, but man alive, I gave that cat a better chance than some would!

Sorry if it sounds like I am jumping down your throats, but I do this strictly out of selfdefence because I feel you were jumping down mine, and if you wern't, I apologize.

Just because some people in this world are callous and cruel towards animals does not give you an excuse to shirk your responsibilities. And that is what you have--a responsibility towards your pet.

I have talked to a vet, and if it was internal bleeding, she probably would have been dead by now. This could have happend anytime yesterday between 7:30 AM, to 4:30 PM. And she has made it to 5:00 PM today.

See, I didnt mean to sound nasty, but someone coming on and saying that makes me red in the face! I HATE that you would say that! There is no way my giving Jenny a home, and love, and if those where her last hours, everything she needed other than a vet, how could that be the worst thing possible for her?! Jenny is a CAT, not a KITTEN, and had she been taken to the rescue, she would have been put to sleep! and I will not have that happen, even if all my animals cant be taken to the vet!

$150 is not an arm and leg and to just "save one cat".

I just spent $300 on ONE cat at the vet and it wasn't even an emergency.

You don't get to look out in the future and see what is DOWN THE ROAD. What is happening now is happening NOW.

If you don't have the money to get appropriate care for your animals, find someone who does.
