Well, I came home tonight to not finding Jenny.. Shes an inside/outside cat, so I thought "okay, shes outside, no biggie.." then toinght when I went to feed one of my rabbits, I found her laying there, covered in slober, and laying on her right side.

I pulled the thing she was laying on out (afraid she was dead, or that I'd hurt her) and as soon as she was out, she went right back in under the dresser... I got her out and set her on my bed, and she went to her spot and layed down... I was looking her all over to see if she was okay, and she seems fine, other than the fact that one of her back legs and kinda her front leg (on the right side, the side she was laying on) are kinda cold... I was in cuddling her, and loving on her, and she was puring, rubbing her face on mine, all the things she does everytime we cuddle...

However, I am really worried because shes cold. Jenny is very attached to me, and I am scared shes purring because I found her and that she is happy Im with her before she dies (I probably sound crazy I know).... I can't take her to a vet, as its 10:19 PM here, and I have school tomorrow... Im really worrying, and I am VERY upset because Zoey, Gyp, Dottie, Tinkie, Morrie, and sasha did this! I lvoe my dogs, and I love my cats, and having one hurt the other tears me apart, even if htey are known for not liking each other.

I'm gonna keep her in my bed tonight, but if anyone knows ANYTHING thing I could to to get her not cold on her right side, I'd really appreaicte it!

ETA: I think shes got internal bleeding, and wont make it through the night... Off to spend what could be our last hours with my baby... Good night Chazzers.

This is an emergency. I do mean a HUGE emergency. She most likely ingested something poisonous, thus the slobber, and she is purring because she is in pain. It is highly possible she will die very soon unless you do something for her now.

Edit: So you also think it may be one of the dogs harmed her? And you are not getting her to a vet.

WTF Why is this poor creature not getting immediate medical attention ? What are you thinking. I just don't get it not at all. First why is an animal you say you love allowed to roam and live outside and why when you know that poor cat has been hurt are you not doing anything other then to take it to bed and allow it to suffer or die in pain . I just can not believe it and no dear I am not holding my tongue because if you did not want to get yelled at you should not have posted this. This is unbelievable !!! Yea I am pissed off !!!

Regardless of whether you have school or not, the cat should be taken to an ER vet right away. Emergencies don't stop because of previous responsibilities. I hope that you're at the vet right now..getting your cat the care it needs.

Okay, I know why everyone is upset, I really do. But, my mom has vet training, she may not be a vet so to speek, but when we call our vet, he usualy tells mom a bit, then lets her take care of it, unless its a huge emerencie. Which this is I know, but my vet is in Africa! And I can't just up and go to the vet, because I dont have one! I am not upset with you, Im truly not, I can understand why you're all pissed off, and to be honest, I am pissed I cant take her to the vet aswell.

Now, an update on Jenny. She layed in my bed all night last night, warm and safe, and this morning shes doing REALLY great, not so cold, walking around, and doesn't seem to be in any pain.

Oh, and the slober, wasn't hers, otherwise, she'd be to a vet as fast as I could take her. The solober was DOG slober. My dogs attacked her. However, there was no bleeding, when I touched her all over, she didn't meow, so I assume (Aswell as my momther) there are no broken bones.

Thanks everyone, I know even if you were pissed off cause I didnt get her to the vet, you were thinking the best for her. BUt please, please please, know I am thinking what is second best for her, because I simplly can not do what is the best for her.

Oh, and I let her roam outside, because when I found her she was a barn cat. I brought her in, but I got her in to old, so she still wants to go outside. However, shes been inside quite a bit these past few weeks.

It's good to hear that Jenny is doing better this morning.

And you mean to tell me with all your pets (even if you had just one) that you don't have a Vet? So your regular vet is on safari (or whatever s/he is doing) So WHAT..........I am sure there are other Vets you could see. That is NOWHERE near an excuse.

Im glad your cat seems to be well but there is a lot here that do not make sense! You say that you didnt think there were any broken bones and no bleeding yet last night you were all ready for her to die - how can that not be an emergency? Internal bleeding would not show and she could well of died a very painful and distressing death.

Also last night the only reason you could not take her to the vets was because you had school, there was no mention of not actually having a vet. Is there only one vet where you are? Does your vet not have any emergency cover? If it had not been dog slober - which vets would you have taken her to as fast as you could of?

I'm glad the cat seems better today.

I'll bet your vet left another vet on call while out of the country. A vet wouldn't leave the clients with no one to contact for medical attention.

Do you have a way to keep the dogs from getting to your cats? If you now know that they'll attack, she will need a safe place.

Okay, just to clear things up, my vet isn't on vacation, or anything like that, HES RETIRED. He retired last summer, and its taken us VERY long to find a vet that knows what he/she is talking about when it comes to horses. Otherwise, Jenny would have been taken to a vet, I asure you!

I know you all have your opinions, and right now you think Im a bad person... But I do love my animals, and if anyone was to say I didn't care for them right they'd be wrong.

Im a strong belive in, if its whats ment to be, then so be it.
I don't want my baby to go (which I dont think she will) but if this is her time, and this is how shes gotta go, so be it.

As for my ETA in the OP, I was upset, my dogs attacked my cat, I was freaking out. And if Im not aloud to do that, then by golly, I'd better be put to sleep, cause thats all I do.

Jenny is locked in my room right now, and I am feeding her canned cat food, shes safe.

Thanks again everyone, I know your just trying to help.

On another note, AC, I know its not an excuse. Trust me! I fret and worrie over small things, but, sometimes I just CAN NOT rush a cat into the vet at 10:30... If you can, then you're a great caring person, who obvisly goes to the highest extreams, me however, I try, but sometimes, when you have 10 horses, 7 dogs, 6 cats, 25 goats, 15 sheep, all of which who are accident prone, plus bills, you can't cough $150 + up right like that!
With out old vet, he'd tke payments, and we have yet to find a good vet that will do us for that. Im sorry if it upsets you, but we all live/do things a different way.

No harm ment, just saying what I think
