Just saw it on the news. Anyone else see it?
The pit bull ripped at a toddler's face and left this scar, but it's supposed to go away. Luckily there was no eye loss or anything severe and eventually it'll disappear. And it's undecided whether or not the pit bull will be put down.
This really makes me angry. With such a young kid, why would you have a pit bull? I can understand if the dog was there before the kid, but if not?
And then again, the kid was probably playing with the bull and irritating him and the dog got fed up. Do you seriously blame him? And now they're basically, what, killing him? And also the kid was left un-attended with the dog.
First off, what kind of parenting is this? Secondly, this whole situation is messed up from the very beginning. Any other inputs on this? (no offense to the parents whatsoever.)
ETA: This also just adds to the bad reputation pit bulls get when really they're great dogs and they don't deserve it.
