Dont put your puppy in a cargo hold!!!

Just picking up on this thread and wanted to post about our recent experience. We got a new dog, Cocker, and had her flown from Texas to Utah, Delta. I don't know what happened to her on that flight, all I know is that when she left Texas she was a spunky happy little girl, when she arrived here...

    Animal communicators?

I have used them several times over the last 4 years, sometimes they were amazing and sometimes not. I have used long distance and local that came to the home. I think it depends on getting someone legit. Too bad you didn't get that lady's name, sounds like she may be the real deal. The last...

    Spring clean up

Sure, sooner or later:) We always get a January thaw here, which we have had the last week. Temps get in the 40s and some of the snow melts, it always gives me a bit of Spring fever.

    Spring clean up

That works great for cleaning on a regualr basis, but when it has been under the snow for 2-3 months, piling up, wet, well you get the picture:rolleyes: It doesn't scoop or anything else except smash into the lawn when you try.

For those of you that live in areas where it snows, Spring is coming and that means you know what is showing up in the yard! A lot of our snow melted this last week and  I didn't realize two dogs could leave that much "stuff":( I know this sounds nuts but with a bad back I came up with a...

    Back Pain

I have degenerative disc disease and it affects the lower back, hip and down the leg. Sciatic nerve does the same. I have used a chiropractor for years, along with muscle relaxors, aspirin, tylenol etc. I also alternated hot and cold packs. I finally went to a specialist that gave me a steroid...

Shoplifting canine helps self to bone

I was going to post this story today but you all beat me to it! It is a grocery store/supermarket in a large chain, Smith's, and one I go to when I'm working. He knew just what he wanted and what I like is how he comes in so casual, stops for a brief "Hi" with the kids checking out , strolls to...

canidae is a different color? dog seems sick

You may want to do a search "Canidae complaints" on the internet, there are a bunch of them. There is also a response from Canidae to the consumer affairs. I don't remember all the changes as it has been several months but I changed and so did the breeder. I am now feeding Merrick BG but am...

    Weird Gastro Issues?

You say you feed Canidae, were you aware that they changed the formula several months ago? There has been quite a bit of trouble over it as alot of dogs are having issues and getting sick since the change, just a thought.

What are your thoughts on dog parks?

I like the idea but don't think I would, too risky. I also worry about what kind of "presents" the other dogs might leave behind. I will probably quit showing my dog because he got "'show crud" after a show in August and we are still dealing with problems, so no I don't think I would go to one.

    Pentax or Nikon?

I have never had a Nikon but I did not like my Pentax. I went with Canon over Nikon because it is lighter, which is important if you are packing it around for hours on end. I am very happy with my Canon digital, have you checked out Canon? Nikon is a great camera.

Very Very Confused About A Raw Diet For Cats..

With cats you need to add a supplement with Taurine for sure or they can have heart problems. There may be some other needs also, I would check it out. Raw is good, you don't need a vet, but I would look into some of the studies. In one study the cats appeared to do well, looked good etc. but...

Do your dogs like to unwrap their gifts?

Dillon never bothers them, he is not destructive at all. Chase, well yea. He has a thing about paper, it was definitely made to rip, right:) We can't put presents under the tree until Christmas Eve and then lock the dogs up and hope we can keep the presents in one piece until everyone gets...

Your Dogs Name: Why You Chose The Dog Name You Did

Dillon was 15 mos. when we got him so the breeder picked his formal name, Tru-Luv's Front Page News and his call name, Dillon. With Chase we got to pick his call name but she picked his formal name, Tru-Luv's Call Me McDreamy. I have no idea where I got the name Chase from, it just came to me...
