Kansas is a fairly solidly Republican state as well and so is Missouri, so I guess I'm just stuck in the middle of pandering to the target audience.

Yah, me too, Zoom. The McCain TV ads here are downright rank - as bad as anything Shrub put out against McCain eight years ago. And far less subtle. Right up there with this one that [now] Sen. Bob Corker - one of the more corrupt members of the Senate - ran in 2006 that was so bad it was all over the national news: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWkrwENN5CQ

Interesting article: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/624/

And another . . . http://beltwayblips.com/story/mccain_hearts_acorn_was_keynote_speaker_at_group_s/

The Dems are obviously incompetent when it comes to running a campaign. The Rove people would have been all over that, pointing fingers and chanting "flip-flop."

But, in answer to the question, yes I do think there should be a limit. Give both candiates the same set amount and see what they can do with it. Call it a first lesson in managing a budget.

:hail: X 1000

But really, if Obama DID raise all his money on his own, I have no problem with that. Just like if McCain raised XXX Million Dollars ON HIS OWN I'd be fine with it.

Heaven forbid that a candidate that many people feel inspired by and have donated millions uses that money to get his message out on what he wants to do for the country. The audacity of that man, I can't believe it, what an egotistical fool, how dare he use money the money donated by people that believe in him on things they donated it to him for.

I mean he could just be mailing out negative flyers that don't say a lick about his plans or his vision, just nail the other guy with trash that doesn't even necessarily have to stick. I've been getting those to the tune of 3 per day for the past week and a half, some even send propaganda DVD's that have nothing about their candidates message, just attack and grasp at anything they can.

and its not like this money is all for Obama, the TV's make money, the caterers make money, the travel industry makes money, he doesn't get to keep that money. I swear the guy could find a cure for cancer and people would still complain.

I know you have said YOU have yet to see anything...........but I am holding an Obama flyer in my hand right now (paid for by the democratic committee & authorized by Obama stamped right on it) that has McCain/Palin's picture on the back talking about them instead of his own issues. It's a nice color HUGE 8x14 one too, LOL

I think it's because Indiana normally votes Republican, but I haven't gotten any McCain stuff left on my porch or in my mail. He must be spending his money elsewhere. And if McCain is focusing on "Call Ads" he's out of luck with me because we don't normally answer 1-800 calls or numbers that don't appear local.............we call back on legit messages so I haven't heard any of his attacking garbage ;)

I don't think voting third party wastes your vote at all. I would consider it a waste to not vote at all, or vote with someone you do not agree with.

LOL you got that flyer too? Yep it arrived in our mail yesterday too. What a joke lol. I don't know - I have seen ads from both that are mudslinging and then I have seen ads from both that talk about themselves.

That's what I love about vonage... NOOOOOOOOO phone calls from their "people".
