My dad loves dogs but doesn't care for cats or other small animals. He got a dog, though, and that dog has made him a happier person all around.
My mom adores all my animals, and is growing fonder of all animals all the time. She used to be afraid of both dogs and cats, but since I came along
and brought all these animals around she loves them and is no longer petrified of dogs and creeped out by cats. I've also taught her about nutrition and alerted her to the overpopulation problem so she understands responsible breeding now, and is becoming a more responsible pet owner.
My aunt. . .claims she loves animals, but has yanked them around on choke chains and is incredibly irresponsible. . .she bred her designer dogs, both barely puppies.
She just has no clue and doesn't care to know.
My other aunt has a lab and is a responsible owner.
My grandparents adore their dogs. They bred their Bichon, though, and have no clue about nutrition. They, though much more my grandpa than my grandma, have something against rotts and "pit bulls" and used to call Harley a "monster". I love them but it pisses me offf.
My other grandmother loves my animals though she is not what I would call an animal person in general. She knows I am though, and always brings me animal books, etc. and stuff for the girls. The way she loves Millie is really special for her not being an animal person. She is always eager to learn more about nutrition, etc. though, and I'm getting another slight convert.
My Uncle Steve
loves animals. He grew up with all sorts and used to get wild animals to trust him, always the boy bringing home animals people didn't want..I loved his GSDs Jake and Buddy. Both of them got sic and unfortunately passed on years ago but he went to great lengths to try to save them.
Jason loves his dogs but I think many of you have seen me vent about him so I won't get into it completely again.
