My mom loves animals, she just doesn't want them in the house. ;)

My dad is the total opposite of a 'pet person' but oddly enough he wouldn't care if I had tons of them. Mostly I think he just doesn't like big dogs, there's no reason for him to dislike Molly but he just doesn't care for her. I think he's indifferent towards Lucy but he'll pet her whenever he sees her. And he likes our cat, haha.

My siblings all are, minus one brother who I'm not totally sure about. I think his problem is that he should just never get a puppy, because he hates Lucy but if she were better behaved he wouldn't care.

My grandparents are as well, or at the very least, they're dog/cat people.

My mom and my step dad are dog people. They have a little Shih Tzu/ pug mix named Shelby :D They cried just as much as we did when teddy passed away.

My dad.... he always says he's not an animal person.... but he is ;) he can't resist those puppy dog eyes.

My mom tolerates dogs, but is by no means a dog person.

My dad will not even tolerate dogs, he actually dislikes them.

My brother tolerates them, but doesn't want one for himself.

My sister-in-law is allergic.

My parents weren't really pet people, when we got Cinnamon seven years ago they didn't really like her, and mostly just tolerated her, for us. But now they totally love her. Although Mom is less enamorated with her than Dad, he's a total sucker for her.

Grew up with all manner of animals...

We had fish, cockatiels, budgies, geckos, lizards, hamsters, gerbils, rats, cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, went horse riding...

You name it...

We even adopted an orangutan not long ago :D

Though... My folks are now only cat people... They have done their time with other pets, and have settled for cat companions for now.

They tolerate Bodhi in the house (when I moved back, they knew it was with her and my cat in tow), but they want the quiet life lol :D

My dad loves dogs but doesn't care for cats or other small animals. He got a dog, though, and that dog has made him a happier person all around.
My mom adores all my animals, and is growing fonder of all animals all the time. She used to be afraid of both dogs and cats, but since I came along ;)and brought all these animals around she loves them and is no longer petrified of dogs and creeped out by cats. I've also taught her about nutrition and alerted her to the overpopulation problem so she understands responsible breeding now, and is becoming a more responsible pet owner.
My aunt. . .claims she loves animals, but has yanked them around on choke chains and is incredibly irresponsible. . .she bred her designer dogs, both barely puppies. :( She just has no clue and doesn't care to know.
My other aunt has a lab and is a responsible owner.
My grandparents adore their dogs. They bred their Bichon, though, and have no clue about nutrition. They, though much more my grandpa than my grandma, have something against rotts and "pit bulls" and used to call Harley a "monster". I love them but it pisses me offf.
My other grandmother loves my animals though she is not what I would call an animal person in general. She knows I am though, and always brings me animal books, etc. and stuff for the girls. The way she loves Millie is really special for her not being an animal person. She is always eager to learn more about nutrition, etc. though, and I'm getting another slight convert. ;)
My Uncle Steve loves animals. He grew up with all sorts and used to get wild animals to trust him, always the boy bringing home animals people didn't want..I loved his GSDs Jake and Buddy. Both of them got sic and unfortunately passed on years ago but he went to great lengths to try to save them.
Jason loves his dogs but I think many of you have seen me vent about him so I won't get into it completely again.

My parents like animals. My mom grew up with dogs, and even had some turtles once. She didn't have cats until after she married my dad because my grandfather didn't like cats because they came in his yard and killed birds. He loved to watch the birds. My grandmother thinks animals are all cute and fine, but is happy enough just seeing my aunt's cats or my cousin's little dog now and then. My great uncle has had dogs all his life. Right now he has a poodle/terrier mix named Pepper.

My dad likes animals too. He grew up with beagles. My grandparents on his side, before his step-dad died, had this REALLY fat beagle named Judy. She was a nice dog, but grandpa fed her too many treats!

My parents weren't very knowledgeable about animals until I grew up and learned about them. Our first dog started out living outside in the fence 24/7 until he developed behavioral problems and my parents were advised to bring him inside. Our current dogs are inside dogs, with Benji allowed on the furniture, even on my parents' bed!

My sister likes animals, but she's not as into them as I am. And she doesn't know barely anything about training or anything. What she knows, I've taught her. Benji is supposed to be my sister's dog, but guess who feeds and grooms and takes him to doggie daycare?;) Oh well, we are enrolling Benji in a training class and my sister wants to come, so maybe she learn a few things.

My parents love animals. We had a Rottweiler growing up... and then we didn't have anymore dogs because we didn't have time.

I have to say my mom was a little skeptic when I was talking about adopting a bully... but the second I walked though the door with that little black and white bundle, she fell in love. They send birthday presents and have a little saving account for them... just in case something would happen :)
They love our cats, too. Actually, they are the godparents of our animals. I put in my will that if something would happen to hubby and me, my parents would take all of the furries.

It must be genetic with me, because both my parents loved animals. I always had critters growing up, and my mom didn't have a problem with them being everywhere we were - bed, couch, yard, beach (in those days, you could actually bring your dog to the beach in the summer - my Doxie used to curl up under my beach chair or umbrella and go swimming with me). Dad loved horses and was thrilled when I could finally afford one at age 27 - he came to all my shows. Now, I have a BF who is the best doggy daddy on the planet. People who don't like animals just couldn't survive around me.:)
