when you have to physically walk around and count them because you can't remember how many you have :lol-sign:

Dammit! I even did a head count and missed one.

This thread was supposed to be about how long it took to realize how many animals I had to get them all to fit in my new sig.

While writing that out I discovered that I actually STILL missed one.

*runs off to figure out how to fit Inky in the new sig*

*facepalm*

Don't feel bad, I know how you feel, LOL.

Punky, got a new foster dachshund, you'd go wild for her. :D

What's really bad is when you can't tell one from the other. One gets let out and then you realize that you let the wrong one out or you gave the wrong bowl of food to the wrong dog. It's fun when all your dogs are the same color and relative size.

Happens to me sometimes with the weens! Harry and Bob looked identical!! And I have everyone's bark down good, but Bob and Reese sound exactly the same lol.

Shoot, I only have 4 and I always seem to be looking for one in the house.....I swear next time BIG dogs. At least I can spot them right away. Even the other night I spent a good time looking for my cat who happened to be sleeping in my closet, all nice a comfy. Didn't seem to mind that I accidentally closed to door while not knowing he was there.

You know you have too many animals when...you start calling them by the name of your kids...and vice versa. :)

I do that ^ but I feel like I don't have *that* many animals :p LOL
I do head counts all of the time, just to make sure I know where all of them are. ;) That could be habbit from my job, though

We always have to do a head count to make sure that all of the dogs are inside before closing the door to the doggy door in the winter. A few winters ago Ginger got lost outside in the backyard(we found her stuck in a huge snowdrift), so ever since we make sure that all are inside the moment we bring them in by doing a head count.
