I thought it was great. I felt no pain whats so ever the first few days and the only nausea was with taking the packing out.

If your nutts enough to do it without being under then your in for the pain. Make sure they will put you under. I couldn't imagine being awake for that!

If you smoke stop now so you don't have issues healing. And if you don't good for you:p

I had a consult before actually going in to get it done. Comparing stories with friends if they had a consult first it was less painful later:p the bf was going to go to one who just made an apt to do it and I said no way.

Try not to worry, you;ll be fine.

Mine where removed some time ago and I was sooo nervous, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Only my mouth was sedated (they don't do full sedation for wisdom teeth surgery here), and they where pulled out in no time. My wisdom teeth had really grown in a strange direction so I didn't except it to go so fast.

The second time when I had to get the other two removed I wasn't nervous at all anymore. And now I'm really glad I don't have them anymore, because all the strange pains I had in my teeth where suddenly gone. My dentist made several pictures before to see if there was some problem that caused pain, but couldn't find anything. In the end it was the wisdom teeth that pressed against the other teeth.

I got very good painkillers from the hospital, so I didn't really have pain afterwards. Eating and drinking was a problem for some days, and I was swollen.

I had 2 of mine removed when Tom was in the service at a Army hospital . I was shaking like a leaf as I hated to go to the dentist . ( Horrible experiences back in the 40s !) He couldn't put me under , but gave me a shot of whiskey !!! I was lucky !! One tooth wouldn't come out and split in half .... my main facial nerve went through the middle of the tooth !! Had it come out clean , it would have severed the nerve . He lifted the nerve to the side and though part of my face was numb for a few weeks , all feeling came back ! Otherwise I would have had a crooked smile . Very rare case .... but then , so am I !
